Have you tried almond milk?  It makes the shakes thicker (I just shake them in a shaker) and has just a hint of almond taste.  I buy Silk Pure Almond Unsweetened.  It only 35 calories and more calcium than milk.

For me it's the taste. 

I am only looking to swap out my non-dairy creamer and splenda from my coffee, I do drink about two to three large cups a day (12oz).  I did pick up some Almond Milk as well yesterday, I will give that a try tomorrow. 

I'll you guys know.

Ive been curious about the coconut milk. What is not working? the taste?

I do almond milk as well. Unsweet vanilla or chocolate. When I used to do milk it was skim. I used to be able to put away some milk between cereal and pb&j sandwiches. To me, the taste was very similar. I think If I didnt know, I wouldnt be able to tell you it had an 'almond' taste.

I cant do lactose and personally cant stand soy. I even got my husband drinking the almond milk now as well.

Take care and get that blood pressure checked as soon as possible.  It stormed on the drive to Nashville so I am tired from the drive and yucky from eating dry chicken that did not stay down.  Hope to have a better day tomorrow.
