Please do let us know how your appointment goes.  What is the temperature like in New York around July?

Little girl is starting to feel better...only 18 months old but a trooper about breathing treatments--she likes to hold the mask herself.  It's wonderful to see her personality and energy emerging again.  Cold and snowy today but it should warm up by this weekend.

PB - 24 ounces decaf coffee, SF syrup, 1/2 & 1/2
B - protein shake with almond milk (LOL...mistakenly typed coconut milk the last week)
S - 2 oz turkey
L - 2 hard boiled eggs, 3/4 c raw veggies, 2 tsp ranch dressing
S - skinny, SF, decaf, mocha latte
D - grilled pork chop, some veggie
S - Zone Perfect bar

I think I need to up my protein...perhaps add protein powder to my coffee.  Is there a particular brand that we need to use with hot drinks or will what we use for shakes work (I use Optimum Nutrition)?

You should be able to use what you normally have for shakes but mix it with room temperature water to make a paste before your add the ho****er/coffee to it.  It will make it less lumpy.  My son is sixteen now, but when he was a baby he had bronchitis real bad.  I once spent $300 on an emergency room visit to be told to hang his head out the window on the way home so he could be breath the fresh air.  I was so pissed but in actuality it worked.  I just wished I had know before the $300 trip.  I hope your daugther gets to feeling better real soon.

I tried your suggestion, stirring together a 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein powder with the room temperature syrup, then adding the coffee and cream, and it worked great.  With 2 12-ounce cups of coffee, I added 24 grams of protein.  Thank you, Tess!

She's feeling a little better every day, thanks.
