Back On Track Together
Hello!
This is my first group membership and I am happy and relieved, to be here. I didn't know this or any other groups existed until last week. Since then I've been reading older posts. I had RNY in 2006 and became a member of OH later that year (I think). I stayed within 10 pounds of my goal until fertility treatments and wonderful, miraculous babies in 2008 and 2010. Pregnancy and the treatments, as well as too many calories in, not always the best food choices, and not enough calories burned resulted in almost a 50 pound weight gain. I have been refocusing on me and I've lost 12 pounds so far. I'm on my way. More later, I just wanted to say hello!
I noticed you said fertility treatments. I had an IUI baby with Follistim. I know that if I lose weight, my chances will go up for having another baby. I have joined the group for MOTIVATION. 20 lbs over my goal weight and the PCOS doesn't like it.
Nice to meet people with same challenges!
We'll do this together! Let me know what if anything I can do to help motivate you - and myself :-). I'm older, so unfortuantely IUI did not work for me. We had our babies with IVF. Odds were against me becasue of my age but we were blessed. Hang in there and good luck! Always keep in mind what your goal is...a baby is well worth anything you have to change now. My first step was starting a food journal.
