Day 3 of the 5-Day Pouch Test

Yesterday full-on sucked.  I ate the same things (pretty much) that I ate the day before but I had a headache that lasted ALL day.  I even had some caffeine but nothing touched it!  Plus, I felt edgy and short-tempered.  And the fatigue!  Overwhelming.

But another lb. gone so...REJOICE!  I am trying VERY hard not to think about how, if I did not binge Super Bowl Sunday, I would be down 6 lbs. since I got BOT, rather than 3.  But...moving on...

Today, so far, I had 2 hard boiled eggs.  And I have to tell you, my energy picked up almost immediately!  So things are looking better. Brought a small can of tuna for lunch and another for a snack.  I forgot my protein vial for today so that was a critical error (no matter how I eat...even if it is WAY too little...if I don't drink 80 gr. of protein, I don't lose weight...it is frustrating!).  I will run to the Vitamin Shoppe at lunch.

I plan to have canned salmon for dinner.  Let me ask...do any of you eat canned salmon?  I am okay with cooked salmon but I LOVE salmon sashimi.  The thought of the canned salmon kinds grosses me out yet I want to try it because I am not the biggest fan of canned tuna.

Anyhow...I am actually learning a lesson during this pouch test.  Come to think of it, I think the pouch test is more about resetting your brain than resetting your tummy.  Day 1 and 2 were SO hard for me but, the truth is, they should NOT have been that difficult.  As a post-op, I should be kind of used to restricted eating.  But I have gotten so far away from that.  I am talking...junior cheesebugers (bun and all)...6 oz. filets...chips, chips and more chips!  This is reminding me (in a rather painful way) that, if I don't fix this, I am looking at 290 again.  I CANNOT go back to that.

So, anyhow...I am marching on...

I hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Sounds like you are doing great! I totally agree with what you said about the pouch test resetting your brain. It felt exciting eating like I did post op. It brought back happy memories of losing weight and being proud of myself.  Keep up the good work! Slow and steady wins the race!

Yanno, people are very cavalier with the expression LOL.  Most people write LOL but they do not really laugh aloud.  So, when I REALLY laugh aloud, I type LLOL (literally laugh aloud).

So, in response to your salmon comment...LLOL!!
