Good morning,
I've been lost for a few days.  Just frustrated with not sleeping, back and leg problems.  Getting old is a bi*ch!  I can't even upload a new avatar!  I've been eating pretty well, still holding my own.
My food for today:
Breakfast - 1/4 c. steel cut oatmeal
Snack - protein drink
Lunch - italian salad
Snack - ham, cheese and pickle roll
Dinner - steak w/veggies
Snack - Fage w/s.f. caramel

Hi Deb:

Sorry you still are not sleeping well.  I don't have to be old to be a bi*ch, just don't let me get my sleep, that will do it.  My eats and cardio for today are:

5:00 AM 1 hour walk on Treadmill

Prebreakfast:  Coffee & Miralax
Breakfast:  Chocolate Unjury Shake
Snack:  Quest Brownie Bar
Lunch:  Quest Cinnamon Bun Bar
Snack:  Chocolate Unjury Shake
Dinner:  Steak Taco
Snack:  NSA Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich

Deb, how did your sleep study go?

Im having insomnia this week as well, didnt even sleep over the weekend OR take a nap, Just couldnt sleep for anything. Last night and the night before I was up at 3 am. It is frustrating.

Dinner last night was a complete success!!! Im so proud of myself. I didnt partake in the sangria or the bread basket! This is huge for me. We went to Carrabbas. They dont post their nut info, but I researched and found a couple sites posting the info, so I tried to average them out. I had the spicy chicken soup and the small pork chop marsala with spinach. So, If I went over my goals for the day it wasnt because I didnt do my best.

We are going out to get our taxes done tonight, so Im going to see if I can find a decent place for dinner. Thinking maybe Boston Market, Panera or Subway.

Eats for today:

Coffee w/ cream
Cheese stick and banana
Carrot sticks and Pure Protein bar
Pure Protein shake followed by Clementine
Apple on the road
Dinner...
If I have points left, WW fudge bar

Hi Mary!
Great job on picking around the temptations!  Sleep test was interesting, I don't know if they were able to get much info because I got up at 1:30.  They made me lay quietly and watch tv for about another hour and then let me go home.  They said that it will take about 2 weeks for results.  If was funny, because you just call out and someone talks to you through a speaker.  When I told them that I was up, they said "no, you can't be up so soon"!  Hello...that's why I was taking the sleep test.  So who knows...

You guys are so good with the diet and activities.  I feel so inspired.  

The runs stopped... and I am doing OK.  Last night acupuncture really hurt... when I skip my monthly appointment (like last month) the following one really hurts.  She also noticed huge bruises on my arms and my legs (had no idea how I got them) so I need to double my Vit K again.   I know iron is good.. so the K and copper must be off. And platelets.  If not one - then there is something else. 

eating today will be easy:
(need to modify - ate more... and different things)

coffee + almond milk
protein shake
meatloaf and cucumber
protein bar (x 3 - was really "hungry")
3/4 cup peanuts.

(food not necessary in right order...)
 
Note to self: There was a reason I did not buy the power crunch bars - can't keep them... eat too many of them instead of real food. Not a good idea.

Well I am bummed    today was weigh day and I gained 2 pounds.  But........keep on keep on.  I think I may just need to put the scale away for a while and keep on the plan.  I do feel better and only had one sugar low but it was over the weekend celebrating my son's birthday......red velvet cupcake (but no icing) and cheese fries (but only one serving). 

I just can't believe that was 2 lbs. worth...........I did get all my cardio in and have stepped up to 40 minutes.........another new day.......another new week.........

 Hi Janet:

Don't be too bummed!  I have found that if I weigh more than once a week that the scale can be very unfriendly.  I can fluctuate between 1-3 lbs. on any given day.   I would watch what I ate the rest of the week and weigh again on Friday.  Hopefully, you will have a lost then.

Late checking in, but here to report...

Pre B :  protein coffee
B & L : office breakfast celebration, ordered from Waffle house, ended up spreading it across breakfast and lunch - 2 eggs over medium, 1 grilled chicken breast, 1/2 cup hashbrowns with cheese/onion/ham, 1/4 cup grits with cheese & 1/3 of a biscuit...
S : fru-fru coffee
D : been overboard already today but dinner is going to be out at a local restaurant, cuz tonight is bike-nite with the Harley group - JUST salad & a bite of whatever protein is on DH's plate...

Cardio : 1/3 mile with puppy & DH

Alesia : start 249 / surgeon's goal 138 / current 142

Weighed in a day late this week, but should have skipped it all together.  Up 0.8#.  Not a whole pound, but going in the wrong direction.  Need to keep working on my foods.  Hopefully next week's weigh-in will be better.
