Day 1 of the 5-Day Pouch Test

Good morning!

I am a total moron.  I had been making an effort to start getting back on track last week and was doing pretty well.  I lost 3 lbs, actually.  WELL, I ended up turning this weekend (YAY GIANTS!!) into a free-for-all bingefest and gained those 3 lbs back.  I deserve it, completely!  But I am sure that my behavoir will only serve to make this 5-Day Pouch Test all the more difficult.  But it also shows how desperately I need to DO the test!!

I stocked up on SF Jello and SF pudding.  I need to go out at lunch and get some yogurt and soup.  Right now I am eating SF pudding.  I am not normally a pudding fan and, I gotta say, this SF pudding?  Major suckage!  But it is what it is!!

I am also VERY bad with water.  As in...I don't drink it.  Ever.  I am convinced I have Diet Coke running through my veins.  I never gave up soda and I was never able to *not* drink while I eat.  But I WILL drink 64 oz of water every day this week and I will limit my Diet Coke.  I do not have plans to quit cold turkey.

So if anyone wants to wish me luck, I'll gladly take it!  I NEED IT!!

Have a wonderful day, everyone!!

Good luck... and SF pudding... is not my thing either... watch for the SA... not only I dump on those, but the gas... ouch...
Try to get some water - I use Vitamin Zero water but I drink that 50% with water. Jus****er - my pouch still hates that.

At one time - I started drinking diet soda, but noticed that I would drink 2-4 cans on  1-2 hrs.   Way too much.  So I stop buying it.  Now I may drink it if I travel and need something to keep me from falling asleep.  Beside that - the soft drinks irritate my bladder.  When I drink them - and need to go... I really need to go...lol...

Good luck with the pouch test. I think you will be very happy with the results! I haven't had diet soda in three years and I still salivate at the smell and the sound of a can opening! Even after all this time. I had a HUGE diet Pepsi addiction. I'm talking several 2 liters a day. It was bad. It was the one thing I never went back too. I feel like it would be the last straw. And it was so hard to get off it. The first two days I could hardly open my eyes because I had a huge headache and felt like I had been hit by a truck. I still miss it. I'm looking forward to hearing about your progress! Take care!!

Hey Kriste:

Congratulations on giving up soda.  It is VERY hard to give up!  I am really bad with it, too.  But my addiction is of fountain soda.  The people who work at 7-11 and Quick Chek know me by name. ;)  I guess I would average around 50-60 oz. of Diet Coke per day.  Today was the first day in a LONG time that I did not stop and get a soda on my way into work.  I have SUCH a freaking headache, though!  I took an Aleve and it did nothing to touch it.

I will post my Pouch Test progress in my other thread.  I am fairly miserable but I made it through Day 1!!

Have a great day!
