Back On Track Together
O/T Sixteen year old boys
Just wanted to share with you. While cleaning out my closet this weekend, I came across a box of old photos. One picture in particular caught my attention. It was a picture of me and my best friend when we were sixteen years old (in the seventies). Of course, I thought I was fat back then, I weigh about 120 lbs. and wore a junior size 9. All my friends were 100 lb. skinnies. I could not help but admire my skinny legs in that mini dress, they really looked awesome. I showed the picture to my sixteen year old son and asked him if he knew who that was. After a moment, he said, I think that is you? I say, your right, mama didn't look half bad back then. He comment, "I wasn't sure at first, I didn't think they made color photos back then." "I now know why we sometimes eat our young".......
Tess,
I had something similar happen. I met my husband when I was 16 yrs. old. We were at someone's wedding and had a nice picture taken. Needless, to say that picture got put away for many years. My daughter was married 6 yrs. ago and somehow my husband and I had a picture taken, the same way, as we did 35 yrs. ago, same pose, side by side, same smile, etc. When my 25 yr. old smart a$$ son, saw the pictures side by side. He said WOW, it looks like you guys melted! I could have killed him!!!
