Good luck today. Starting is always the hardest but has the greatest reward at the end of the day when you have achieved all that you set out to accomplish for the day. Don't focus on what you are not getting (baked potatoe) focus on that delicious steak, salad and green beans. My mouth is watering just thinking about that. Have a great day!
Hello,
Here to report & feeling a little PISSY...Stuck to my plan all last week with cals in the 850 range everyday until the weekend, got a little off the deep end and estimate I had closer to 1200-1500 on Saturday & Sunday...I do high intensity Zumba 3 days a week for at least 45 min & added a water Zumba class this week too...NO results, I weigh daily but am trying to count my loss success on a weekly Monday weigh-in...One week later, nothing down
Today :
B : protein coffee
S : fru-fru coffee
S : cheese stick & nut crisps
L : 5 lite battered shrimp, 1/4 c glazed carrots & 2 roasted baby potatoes
D : chocolate, pb & banana protein shake
Only exercise today will be walking the puppy - 1/2-3/4mile around the neighborhood...
Cals for the day based on what I PLAN to eat : 756

Hi Alesia:
Don't get down. Looking at your eats, you may need to up your protein count. Even when I started back to basics at 800 calories, I still had my proteins up between 80-90 grams. My carbs were really below 50 net grams. Maybe you need to add another shake or protein bar to up your protein count. As for cardio you are doing great! I have gone as far as 3 1/2 weeks with no lost before I would drop 1-2 lbs. Your body is just trying to say a long goodbye to that pound or two. Also, since you eat more on the weekend, you may want to weigh in on Friday to show results from the week that you have worked so hard on. That motivation may help you avoid a few extra calories on the weekend so that you don't undo your loss. I weigh in on Mondays so that I stay on track for the weekend, but that is just me and my motivation.

Please take your vitamins and minerals... I do have a challenge now - I have to take carafate 4 x a day and take my vitamins - away from that, 4 x a day... and food and drinks... Now - that is a challenge... lol... So just vitamins - it is easy ... (kidding)
Good morning... The day will be nice and warmer here too... love that. Maybe next few days I can stop wearing my warm boots and switch for just leather boots. (love my high heel boots post op RNY). Lost a couple of lbs... and doing OK. Control the pain and the food. Still not much of exercise... o well ... one thing at a time... right?
Eats today will be easy again:
coffee + al milk
protein shake
protein shake
yogurt with proteins
vegetable soup w chicken
beet soup
apple (as apple sauce - home made fresh ) cheese
maybe protein bar - power crunch...
May go to a local support meeting today... if not - treadmill - here I come.

Getting ready to take the rest of my morning vitamins in a few minutes. Glad about the weight loss but a tough way to lose it. I keep thinking that with all this weird weather, that we are going to have a super ice storm. I am not looking forward to that. I love my pointy toe boots-post op. They are so cute, even my daughter tried to hijack them. Have a great day and don't push yourself to hard. That meeting sounds good to me.
Ok... don't even mention the ice strom... We get them too here... hope not..
Just assume if is going to be nice... just nice... lol...

HI everyone~
I had RNY surgery almost 7 years ago. Its hard to imagine where the time has gone. Until February of 2011, I kept all 110 lbs of my weight loss off. I knew I was never going to weigh 125 lbs, but was great at 148-150.
I decided to return to school for a post degree in nursing. At the end of my school year (12/2011) I found that not only had I gained a degree, I gained 10 lbs!! ( I should also say that I had shoulder surgery in August which left me sidelined for almost 3 months).
I have been trying different things for the 3 weeks to get the 10 lbs off as I am uncomfortable. I am having a hard time motivating myself. I do eat all of my protein and stopped anything I didn't eat before (I looked back at old journals to see what I was eating and how much).
I came back to what I know...OH and BOTT's. I found your discussion and I am inspired and motivated to do what is necessary despite how hard I know that it is. I am 7 years older now (obviously) and it will be more of a challenge but I will get there.
Thank you for your candor, your honesty and support. I will go back to journaling, eating breakfast ( i had just been having coffee) and decreasing carbs and am commiting to checking in at least daily to see what is happening. My challenge will be exercise. I need to find something I like doing that is tolerable with my still recovering shoulder. I am sure that I will.
Thanks for listening to me vent. I am looking forward to seeing everyone's posts!!

You can come here and vent anytime you like. We are here to offer support if needed or just listening to your vents. You have caught your regain at 10 lbs. and this is so doeable for you to take control of. It may take you 3-4 months to get it off but little changes to what you eat and what cardio you do will make a big difference. Glad to have you on this board.
