Just a little rant - 850 cals a day is REALLY hard
No wonder you are no losing weight... really... a good fast BM also provides a way not to absorb every single calorie you eat. I know that if I eat sunflower seeds - I do not digest them or absorb all of them probably only 30%-40%? the rest creats bulk. Same with peanuts.
You need to make sure you have daily BM or 2 per day... and thatthe transitin time (of the food inside you) is no longer than 36 hrs, 24 is ideal.

I am like Hala on the Mag Ox. I take two pills a day and drink 1 cup of coffee with SF Praline Pecan Syrup and miralax and I am good to go. Usually 1 to 2 BMs a day. Before this, I would go with the help of exlax or the little pink pill once every 5 days. I just got through reading an article on the web this morning about "normal" people maintaining their weight will have 1-2 BMs a day. I would definitely cut out the prune juice and find some really good sources of protein that will keep you less hungry throughout the day. I only eat about 1000-1100 a day now and sometimes I feel stuff with that. When I was doing 800 calories a day, I just made sure that I got the most bang for my calorie buck. At least, 80 grams of protein, less than 75 grams of Carbs, lots of water and exercise everyday. Plus I came here and journaled everyday. Still do. If I can lose 4 pounds a month, I would think that is awesome. That means I did not gain 4 pounds. You can do this. Don't look further down the road, look to today and what you are going to do in the next hour. Good Luck.

I put a detail reply on Hala's post about the problem for me and mag ox...I'm not sure I'm going to really lose 4 lbs a month, thats the theory based on cutting out 3500 cals a week but we all know that our metabolisms are screwy after so much yo-yo & then the gastric surgery, so I'll have to see how many lbs really come off - BUT I'm keeping my fingers crossed...Will start posting my journal on your site today...

I use fiber and stool softeners everyday and that washelping but it seems like I am going less and less now so I think my body is getting used to what I am using and it's not working anymore. I'm desperate to find something that works on a regular basis and mag-ox didn't seem to do anything for me. Milk of magnesia only works now If I take 2 and a half doses and I only take that if I absolutely have to. If anyone has other suggestions please let me know.
