Thanks!  Hope that you're feeling better soon.  I'm going to place an order to see how it goes.  I like using almond milk, low carb and calories, so I hope they mix well.

I use two kinds, Unjury for hot items and Body Fortress for cold.  Almond milk 40 with the cold because I don't like shake made with water.  Unjury works great with soups and coffee.  Never tried the cheaper protein any other way except cold.  Just my style, no other reason.

I've done Unjury for chicken soup.  Can you buy Body Fortress locally or do you need to order?
Thanks,
Deb

Morning all!  Still dragging.  Beginning to think my depression might be flaring up.  Did get home yesterday and do the 20 minute Zumba workout on my Wii for some extra cardio!

B - protein bar
S - banana and protein bar
L - salad w/beef hot dog on the side
S - carrots or protein bar if needed
D - undecided

Will be doing a small bit of cardio & then upper and lower body weights which is my normal Friday workout.  Since tomorrow is a holiday and I won't be in at work I probably won't hit the gym so I will make up my 40 minutes of cardio that I would have done today, tomorrow while I am at home, either with my stationary bike, Zumba or walking or a combo.  :)

Good Morning. Sorry you are in pain. I have one disc herniated and another bulging. Dealt with  a lot of pain in 2003 -2004.  From the initial pain attack - it took me 3 years to be able to live semi normal life. I still hate some tasks that aggravates the back: like brushing my teeth over a sink, vacuuming or any yard work.
But ... the major back problems went away when I divorced my ex. may back problem started 6 months into relationship with him... and lasted through the marriage.
Some people associate body pains - with emotional issue... I guess my ex was "a pain in the butt" for me. Once I let him go - most of the pain also left.

I am slowly improving.  Could sleep better (still on a chair) and when I cough - it does not feel like I am trying to rip my lungs apart. My sinuses still draining.  This morning I was able to do some laundry and walk up the steps without stopping or getting winded.  Also did not have to rest between the shower and dressing up... yea me...!

As I was driving to work, I was stopped by a cop... apparently I was in a haze since the cop told me that I was speeding and did not signal line change.  But he took pity on me (and my good driving record) and let me off with a warning.  God bless him.. I was only slightly  speeding... and since I was late to work - the road was practically empty... and apparently he took that into consideration.

Eats:
coffee + almond milk
1Tbs chocolate almond butter
(made scrambled eggs with turkey meat... but one look at the plate made me dry heave... so end up eating 1 TBS of almond butter.  What ever works ... right? )
hot tea
the eggs .... (for lunch) or what ever my body would  not reject... lol
soup
turkey meat, pickles....(if I can)
dinner: really not sure...

BTW: as a child I was sick very often..and usually would not want to eat anything and would get sick if my mother tried to force food on me.  So I was allowed to eat whatever I wanted - as long as I eat something... That pattern continued until I had RNY... but now ... I know I have to eat proteins, and leaving off fruits and a few pretzels will not work for me... it is hard to force myself into eating "real" food... I have to... (or my BS crashes) but I really do not like that part of RNY...
