Good afternoon. Still sick.  Feels like worse that last week. Went to the doc but he did not find any issues with my lungs (thanks God) and it is only sinus and bronchitis. Nasty virus.
I know that I already infected at least 2 people (when I did not know I was sick).
The doc thank me for keeping him busy...lol...
Also - due to all the meds - my sugar is crashing more ...so need to be extra careful. My body - RH is sensitive to complex carbs and fruits - so it is a challenge when you really do not want to eat lots of proteins... when you are sick.   Fruits that I can normally eat ... are making my BS drop... o well...

eats today:
coffee+ alm milk
flat-out wrap with PB, sunflower seeds
chicken veggie soup
more soup
pork loin with veggies
more soup...

When I am really sick - hot soup is what my belly can tolerate.  a lot of heavy proteins - not so much. With cold or any other sinus issue - milk or milk product (including whey) may create more mucus, so I know I have to stay away from that.

I do hate that we can't take NSaids... that thing, would really help with the inflammation...

Hi Hala
I also suffer from RH.  500 to 20 BSs.  I hate to tell you this but I can't drink wine because I crash big time afterward.  Kind of sucks because I find a glass of wine very relaxing.  I couldn't drink years ago because I was pregnant, nursing and raising kids.  Then I couldn't drink because of the diabetes meds I was on before the RNY.  Now I am off all diabetes meds and my body crashes from a glass of wine.  I guess that is just the way it is.    Just me

I do know that. The only time I can drink wine and not crash is when I am eating main meal of the day.  I can eat more when I drink wine.  My stoma relaxes and my insides are not cramping.  I actually started drinking wine to be able to eat more and ... really to be able to eat. I had hernia at that time..and would end up with bad pain after eating dense proteins., Wine helped.  Got me drunk, but helped get the pain to go away.
It was self medicating myself with alcohol.  There was time that I could not eat any solid foods unless I had some alcohol.  (I could live on protein shakes but not for many days in a row)... Same time my BS was crashing daily. The connection was so obvoius.

Eventually - I realized I was having problems, and gave up daily drinking,  Now I can have some wine with dinner... but only if I avoid carbs.... So I can have proteins + veggies and wine... (1 small glass) once in a while and be fine.  But add some carbs to the mix (piece of bread, or some other starchy carbs and my BS would crash.

As I am sick now - I do not drink anything.... but my BS crashes all the time... must be something in the meds... or the body reaction to the virus.  And beside fruits and nuts and some veggies - flat out (more fiber than net carbs) are the only carbs my body see.
