2012 Goals - Let's Play

I notice that several people have mention some goals/new resolutions that they would like to achieve in 2012.  Why don't each of us set a goal, whether it is losing or maintaining or just doing extra exercise and we will check back in each month, starting February 3rd and see how our goals are going and to set new ones as needed or work on our current ones.

I will start by saying that my goal for January is to lose 4 lbs. by February 3rd.

Good idea!

Ok my goal for January is to lose 10 pounds
Also to increase my training time for the 1/2 marathon that's coming up in March
And my goal for the year is to get to my goal weight I don't have that much more to go but it's just not coming off as fast as it once did, so hopefully I'll see that goal before the end of the year then I'll start thinking about the goal weight the doctor set for me.

I have 3 main goals for January:

1. Get back on track by eating sensibly and exercising regularly
2. Reaching "onederland" (again) by February
3. Get more involved in these discussions

Good afternoon!
I like the idea of stating my goals.  I am hoping that this will be a year that I actually achieve them!!
My weight  goals for 2012
1) to lose the remainder of the weight by Christmas 2012 - that is 50lbs
2) to complete a 5k every month!  I have been doing the couch to 10k for the past few weeks and I really need to start putting the training to some use
3) to track when I eat

I hope that as I maintain my support on here and with familly that I am able to achieve these goals.

Have a good day

My fitness goals for 2012 are:

1. consistency in my workouts - 3x per week weights & cardio and 1 or 2 times additional just cardio
2. get back into the 150's...right now I'm in mid 160's, so it would mean about 7 lbs to lose. (This is not as important as my size 8 jeans just fitting me better, and if I am consistently in the gym - see goal #1 - then I may actually gain a few muscle pounds, but my 8's should fit better.)
3. play in a Gus Macker 3-on-3 basketball tourney this summer
4. try a Zumba class...available at my gym...I just have to get to one!!
5. buy a kayak...I love kayaking!!! (but I've always had to borrow one)

My nutritional goals for 2012 are:

1. make good (healthy) food choices 98% of the time
2. allow myself to have a treat once in a while (2% of the time
LOL) without any GUILT
3. drink 90 - 100 ounces of water each day (I've been slacking in this, and it has affected my regularity!!)
Nothing tastes as good as healthy feels!

My goal for the year is to reach my goal weight again.  I've been off the steroids long enough that I have no more excuses not to be there!  My goal for January is to join our local YMCA, figure out a workout routine that will work with my school schedule, and lose 5 pounds by check in time on Feb. 3.
