Back On Track Together
European joining you
Hi There
I would love to join you all. I am ashamed to admit: i am only one year out and struggling.
A year ago I had RNY surgery and 2 weeks later my dad died, so I am playing that movie over and over again in my hea and I miss him so much. I am really having a hard timre with this and also winter, less daylight and also just being upset with myself because I can not seem to get a grip on my eating...
I lost about 150 pounds and I am medical succes already but my BMi is still 33 and I would love to lose 20 more pounds at least. But My eating is bad and I am so ashamed to admit it because on here everyone seems to be eating so perfectly...
Over here in Holland people, also wls patientes!, eat a LOT of carbs still and also almost no one eats sugarfree here. Our nutritional advice is not so advanced as yours is. I was always adhering to the USA rules concerning sugars/carbs and proteins and supplements and I did great for 10 months, but the last few I have been struggeling. Hence my stopped weight loss. I might even start to gain soon if I do not do anything about it...
I eat too many carbs and can't stay away from the sugary foods even though i KNOW they are bad for me (no matter what our nut tells us here, eating it in moderation...)
I would love to have some support here and get back on track before I start gaining or stop losing alltogether! do you recommend a startover like the 5dpt or not?
any tips are highly appreciated. I know it is a vicious circle I am in: I feel crap so I eat crap to console my self, then I feel BAD because I get physically ill from eating junk AND feel guilty about it all and i still want to eat more junk! (addictive)
I feel deflated and lost hope. I am get a feeling like: you see? I KNEW I would fail even at RNy surgery, I will never get this right I am doomed to gain all1 50 pounds back etcv etc
Depressed greeting from the other side of the ocean...

We are here to support you. See if you can get back to the basics of less than 100 grams carbs, and get your proteins back up between 90 to 100 grams. Don't drink with your meals and wait at least 30 minutes afterwards. Come back to this site daily and post your eats for the day. If you are not doing any kind of exercise, see if you can start walking a little each day. You will see the benefits of doing this. We are glad to have you here with us.

Welcome to "Back on Track Together". You have found a great and supportive group! You can get back on track- one day at a time. I have been back to basics now for 3 weeks and finally am feeling better.
Remember to take all your vitamins/supplements, drink plenty of water and eat protein first. Check back in often so we know how best to support you.
Have a great week,
