Back On Track Together
Weekends
I do very well all week with my food, exercising, waters and my vitamins. But lately on weekends it all goes out the window. It seems like once I mess up, I figure I might as eat this and that. Then on Monday I start over. I'm still trying to get to my goal weight and lose some of the weight I regained so I don't know why I'm doing this.
I know I just need to do this and if I do mess up just keep it little but still.......
Any suggestions?

Hi Julie,
What is different on the weekends? Is it the schedule? The family being home more, eating out? Write down what you do and how you are feeling during a weekend and then look it over and we can come up with a game plan.
I use to do this a lot and for me, I now go to the Y/Gym on Saturday and do 2 hours of working out. I find once I put in that time there is no way I am going to undo it. For example Saturday is our day to go and eat breakfast out. I do a veggie egg white omelet, with dry whole wheat toast and fresh fruit.
Also, give yourself permission to eat what you want within moderation for a day of the weekend. Maybe that limit will keep you in check to not do it for a straight 48 hours.
Track your next weekend and then let's see what some of the trigger/red flag issue are for you then we can come up with a game plan.
Take care,
Kathy

Hi Julie:
I agree with Kathy on this. If I just "wing it" on the weekend then there is no telling what I would be eating. I still need to schedule my food and make allowances if I plan to go out to eat. And, I always exercise. Like Kathy, I do not want to undo what I just did. Be prepared with protein bars when you shop on the weekend or go to games. And, if you eat out, plan ahead so you know what you are eating or just get the house salad with dressing on the side with fruit. Can't get any safer than that. Have a great day!

Weekends or any evening away from home is a challange.
You don't have your easy to grab snacks that are ok, so you grab what ever everyone else is eating.
I have been moving this week. Decided my health was more important then living with the hubby.
This seemed hard but really was so nice. We are both relaxed and calm. We can go out to eat together or just sit and talk.
In the meantime My home is not set up so I don't have all my basic foods readily on hand and have to shop around carefully as I eat on the run.
Good eating is hard with out planning.
Hopefully by next week I will be all set up with my own space and comfortable and at peace for the first time in a long time.

my weekends get off for a lot of different reasons. To start with my sleep schedule is different, i usually sleep later thus throwing me off schedule so I don't eat enough and then graze at night or on Sundays. Planning is also key for me. I don't plan my meals for the weekend and usually end up eating bad choices and more snacks/carbs. And I don't do the gym/exercise on the weekends. So I am off all the way around.
