Morning all!!!  Happy Friday.  I am amazed at how great my attitude has been this week.  I have not been weighing myself but I am feeling some differences so I am hoping that I am making some progress.  Did not get in enough protein yesterday and couldn't stop eating last night, hopefully I didn't do too much damage.  I am on vacation time next week, not really going anywhere or doing anything so I am hoping to be able to stay on track.  We shall see how well I do.  :)

B - left over brat (just couldn't stand the idea of a protein drink this a.m.)
S - bananas
L - left over taco salad  (which is really healthy when you forget to bring your cheese & chips)
S - cucumbers & tomatoes
D - Chipotle (is now actually undecided as our plans may have changed)

did 40 minutes on the bike at the gym

 Hi Kathy:

I thinking that we may need to extend our 8 week challenge to a 12 week challenge to get us over the holidays.  What do you think?

Going to skip workout today until I feel better.  Maybe I'll take an easy walk w/ dogs in neighborhood for fresh air.

Working on those fluids and vits.  Should be old habit by now, but it still takes work!

Thank you Tess!  I am dragging today and sleep would be most welcome...

BTW, I agree this needs to be a 12 week challenge.  That way, I have a few more weeks to catch up since I only joined about 2 weeks ago.

So today I read that it has been six weeks already--- I hate to say it but I failed about 5 of those weeks...BUT Im back on track this week. And doing well. I haven't hit the scales, but I feel better.

B- Starbucks Skinny Peppermint moch
S- Cottage Cheese and Carrots
Lunch- Italian Bean Salad with Tuna
S- BE MOcha Protein Shake
D- Crockpot Chicken Tortilla Soup

I have a friend that recently had gastric bypass- and while I want her to succeed... I also don't want to be the one that gained back! (a little competition never hurt) SO I have to lose 29 lbs by New years eve. Can it be done?

I love to tell you yes, but you have only eight weeks.  If you cut your calories back to under a 1000 and go back to high protein and low carb, no drinking with meals and exercise (walk) for at least 1 hour a day, you could lose about 15-18 lbs.  But that also means you got to be really good for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Hard time to be that good.  I wish you all the luck though and I hope you can prove me wrong. By the way, I have been strick with my food diet and have walk 2 hours a day, every day, and I have taken off 11 lbs. in six weeks, but a total of 53 lbs. in almost six months.  Slow and steady wins the race.
