Back On Track Together
ALMOST 2yrs & 7 months out........NEED motivation!!
Hello Melissa,
Speaking as someone who wants to think it is not to late, this is why I'm here, to get BOT...I've read many inspirational posts about people who have taken off the regain and gone on to lose even more...I BELIEVE I can do it too & so can you...What I hear and am trying to apply to myself is a willingness to get a grip with going back to the original basics that we used to take it off in the first place...
Protein forward - limit high fat - limit carbs to complex & small doses - accountability (write it down) - limit total cals a day - some sort of exercise everyday (even if its just a walk around the neighborhood) - no drinking with meals...I'm guessing you already know the drill, just a reminder...
Its hard, speaking for myself, to give up some of the things I added back in when I was trying to slow down my loss when I reached maintenance phase...Somedays I'm not really sure I actually am willing to cut them back to "just once in a while as a treat" like I know I need to in order to really get & stay BOT...Good Luck

I am now 29lbs away from goal after a week and a half of getting BOT. Similar to you, I came to about 25lbs from goal and had recently regained 10lbs. I had my surgery in 2003 and dream of achieving goal.
Best wishes!
I wish I could offer some suggestions, perhaps someone on the main board who is also leaning vegetarian can give some help...If you are looking for the sensation of fullness to que you to stop - I think you are right in saying it will be hard to achieve that without a "solid" protein in your diet, perhaps soy or tofu products fashioned in texture & content to imitate a real meat product will work for you (I've tried several as part of my progress and did not find the imitators to taste beanie but do provide a pretty solid sense of fullness, at least temporarily)...
