 Hey Botts,

Here we are facing another weekend.  Most of us let it slide during the weekends for what ever reason. If this is part of your working plan go for it.  But if not, share with us some of your tips for getting through the weekend eating clean and feeling good come Monday.

My plan for this weekend is really ramping up the workouts.  For me it seems if I do well with the working out mentally I don't waste all the hard work with eating bad.  Giggle that is because I am old and have to work twice as hard.

Please share your tips here and I will be sure and bump this for us each Friday so we can add to it.

Happy Friday!

Take care,
Kathy

A big part of what I am finding as a problem is not planning ahead.  So I will be making more plans for my eating.

Tonight I am supposed to be eating out with hubby before the football game.  I have already decided which two places I will offer as a choice to go, both of which I can get salads (w/meats).  tomorrow night my nephews will be spending the night and have asked for pizza so I will have a salad available so that I can fill up on that but still enjoy one slice of pizza.  Sunday a.m. will be a big ole breakfast but I will focus on the proteins & make sure to have some fruits....

I'm going to be so busy - my mother-in-law is coming to visit  for a week starting Monday.  She's one of the nicest people ever to walk this earth, and she's 84. I want to enjoy every minute with her, so these last few days are devoted to getting everything in order and perfect for her arrival.  These last few meals will be okay, because I will keep 'em simple so I can keep my energy level up.  Carbs just kill me.

Once she's here, the pressure to go out to eat, etc will be HUGE. The whole family wants to spend time with her, so we will be out and about, and where there's family, there's gonna be food!  I plan to make sure I eat an appropriate meal before we leave for these visits, so I have a nice full pouch telling me "no" when the temptations pass by.   Take a little, talk a lot.

The weekends are usually easy for me.  Especially since my husband and I both have changed our eating habits.  We usually add extra walks together to talk and burn a few more calories.  I will fix a crockpot of Chili or soup for the weekend eats.  If we go to the mall, we both take protein/fiber bars with us to snack on, and if our 16 year old son goes, we will splurge and get him whatever he wants and hubby and I will order the lowest calorie appertizer there is, I usually eat about 1/4 and he has the 3/4's.  I love my fitness pal !!!  It tells me what I can afford to eat.  Also, my biggest secret is that we weigh in on Monday morning.  I have to be good all weekend or I won't have a lost.  Plus, once you make it through the weekend, the week is easy.

No sliding for me. I will be with my BF... and I am busy doing things with him... that I have to make myself eat... and eventhough he is not a food police... it is much easier to stay on track when he is around.. Endorphins are helping and we usually do something...

I usually relax on my eating during the weekend but I am trying to lose a couple more pounds since I have a couple races coming up. The training gives me something to aim for and keeps me more honest. (key word MORE) My plan is to have a plan and keep busy.

Hope everyone has a good one!!

If I am busy, no matter what is keeping me busy, I will sta on track with my eating and eat much less.  Once I start working in the yard, canning, sewing or just about anything that I have to think about, will usually keep me from  overeating.

 With  I will succeed.
