Kathy I am kinda coming in here late but wanted to send hugs to you and everyone that posted here.  It helps to know we are not alone.  I too started to gain around year 6.  My son's wedding was this year and decided no way was I going to look bad for photos. I got serious with getting back to basics and, and, and working out!  That is key for us to get moving again.

First may I suggest (and I know it can be hard) for you to call and make an appointment with your surgeon.  Make sure there is no medical reason for  your gain. If there is then you are fighting a losing battle.  But if you are OK medically then up your protein, limit your carbs, eat more smaller meals a day, don't drink before, during or after meals. And find some kind of exercise, move to lose!

Get back to writing down all your eat.  I would do so for one week, and note how you are feeling when you eat trigger foods.  Take that log and then make notes of where you are going wrong and make adjustments. Also, baby steps....if you try to change too much too soon it won't last.

I lost 30 pounds and like Tess want to lose 20-25 more before the end of the year.  We are here for you!

Take care,
Kathy
