Mollie,
Wow!  I can't say how brave it is for you to share this personal information with us.  We all have our issues, but for you to come on line and be so honest, is fantastic!  Please keep up the good work and be easy on yourself.  Keep us posted on how you're doing!

Thanks so much Deb. S.  I feel it is important to share this because as me and you have discussed the struggle with COE and binge eating does not end for many after WLS and I want people to seek additional help for themselves if they need it.  Many are not aware of the many programs out there and that many insurances cover much more than they use to for mental health these days.  I see the BOTT is alive again and that is so good to see for sure.  It will help many as this is what it was set up for initially.   So good hearing from you and hope you are doing good.

Molly binge eating and other addictive eating patterns do not go away with surgery. Fighting these patterns is a life time event. I get overwhelmed and want to comfort myself with a snack. This leads to more. I find I have food everywhere. So I am working on making those "snacks" as protien concentrated as I can. This way I do the least harm during these weak points. I am working with a counselor on facing reality without using food. This may never happen completely but each step is a step in the right direction. Thank you for being open it makes it easier to share the struggle when you know others can understand.

May God give me peace to greet each day as it comes.

You are so welcome and it does help to know others are suffering with the same disorder and understand us.
