Fruits: To eat or not to eat?
Fruits with moderate glycemic index help u stay full longer, I don't think any fruit falls into the low category. Moderate is between 56 and 69. Those fruits are Apricots, Bananas not fully ripe, Cantaloupe, Figs, dried, Mango, Papya, Paw Paw, Peaches, canned light, Pineapple, raw and Raisins. Hope this is helpful.

That depends on so many factors.
1. do they affect your blood sugar - make you hungry?
2. do they fit into your plan
3. do you plan to do low carb diet?
4. do they fit into your eating plan, after you had all proteins and good fats... and veggies...
I do eat fruits... more that I should. But I like them. Some affect my BS level, some make me dump, some .. just do not sit right.
I do eat berries: blueberries, blackberries..strawberries, etc.
I do eat apples, some peaches (make me dump if too many), grapefruits , some mango, etc,,,
I do avoid any melons, grapes and bananas (too much sugars). I use bananas only in backing or protein shakes..(very little). Grapes ..once in a while... and only some specific types...
I try not to eat fruits by itself - I almost always try to pair them with fat and proteins (nuts, nut butter, cheese). I do have to peal my apples... the skin is really hard and I can't digest it.
I do try to limit my fruits to no more than 2 servings a day (try ... that is a good word).
I eat fruits to get some carbs. I do avoid grains, so fruits and veggies are my main source of carbs.

I don't think I could give up my fruits. My surgeon always had them listed on my food options (as long as I didn't dump). I have a banana every single day. Was doing an apple each day too but now I am focusing on my carbs a bit more so I am limiting those. Lots of melons in the summer & strawberries.
