Taking a break

So Blessed!

I'm finding that the more I journal about food, the more I obsess about it.  I feel like food and meal planning is taking over my life.  I need to step back for a minute and regroup.

I hate to do it, too.  But it does serve a purpose, so I am thinking what I need to do is make a weekly menu plan up, print that up and just check it off.  Never been that organized, but maybe it's time I tried.

I tend to be obsessive compulsive about things also.  Since I started this week with my log, I am only using the one here on OH and I am doing my basics, not necessarily every single condiment etc.  I have to set myself limits or I will set myself up for the stress.

A good friend of mine started doing meal planning on a two week scale and it has made things so much easier for her.  Grocery shopping is easier & less expensive, no daily stress on what to cook & she has her lunches all configured also so it is not stress in the a.m. to get packed up for the day.  Maybe a strategy like that for a few days or week might make it easier for you.
