Back On Track Together
Double dog dare ya 8 week challenge!
Congratulations on your weightloss and gaining a new daughter!!
Count me in with the weightloss challenge! I'm sad to say that I've gained approximately 64 lbs back since my surgery in November, 2004. Your message came at just the right moment. I was already getting plugged into a local support group "tonight" and now I'm getting ready to start the challenge next week. I was so very encouraged to hear that your pouch "still worked" after a while. I've often wondered if I've "blown it" because I've returned to my old ways of eating tons of carbs and, basically, doing everything that I'm not supposed to be doing and disregarding the things that I'm supposed to do. I really feel that this is the ordained time for me to get back on track. I'm looking forward to sharing with everyone and doing this together!!
Have a great week!
Donna
I found that it was slower than ever but I think that has more to due with my age than anything else. So go into this with the expectation that you are going to lose. Body fat, inches, or numbers on a scale. Don't say I am going to lose 30 pounds by....that will set you up to fail. It will happen if we eat clean and move, move, move.....
WE can do it! Thank you for helping me!

I'm in!
Just don't yell at me for not eating enough vegtables. I want to knock of 10 pounds so I can look good during the fashion show at the OH conference on Long Island next month. I was thinking of doing the 5 day pouch test to drop a few pounds. I wanted to loose 15 pounds but was told not to, that if I did I would be eating away at the muscles I've been busting my butt at the gym to get. My worst habit is that I love to eat while driving, pretzells, cheese its, those kind of things. I now have NO food in the car. I bought a bag of sugar free peppermint hard candy and now the minute I get in the car I pop one in my mouth. My next thing to conquer is mindless eating when I'm on the computer at night. Perhaps that would be the time to eat my vegtables?
I am new to this forum and thank God I found this Group! I had wls in April of this year so far so good. I honestly Have not been as active as I should have been, the timing of ths challenge could not have been better.
I need the motivation and accountability to step things up.
I've joined an 8 week boot camp in addition to the boot camp, I also plan to start couch 25k(hoping I can catch the running bug)to keep me going through the winter.
I wish every one great success on this challenge.
