How are you going to stay on track this weekend?

The weekend is here and for many of us it is a challenge to stay on track when we are away from our M-F routine. We have planned an all day clean fest of the house, that will keep me busy and away from the snacks! I also have a standing running date for 7 am on saturday's that is a nice start to the weekend. Sunday is always a challenge, we like to go out for lunch after church, grocery shop for the week ahead. I try to cook a few meals for the week and plan lunches to stay away from the hospital cafeteria.
What are the rest of you going to do this weekend?

Good morning Mary and everyone:
I started eating very low carb...only meat, healthy fat and veggies.  Yesterday I only at 1368 calories which is unheard of for me.  I have a very low hunger level.  I have a lot of cravings which I can control as long as I am not hungry.  I offer it up.  I entered cleaning in the OH activity section and found out the "heavy cleaning" like window cleaning burns 300 calories per hour.  I have added 1 hour of heavy cleaning to my activity.  I am going between 2 gyms now.  Both have positives and negatives.  I feel like I will reach a normal bmi this way.  Although it is going to take a long time to get there. We don't have any social plans this weekend.  Saturday is date night for my husband and I.  We will probably go to 4:30 Mass tonight so that we can sleep in tomorrow morning.  I will make a gallon of Jello and peaches to bring to the needy meal program tomorrow.  We serve food there.  These people are so down and out.  They are so hungry by suppertime and here I am trying not to eat.
Have a great weekend!

How nice of you helping feed the hungry; it is so scary out there right now. I am so grateful we are doing okay right now. I survived the current layoffs at work right now.
Date night; that is a great idea, we do not do it often enough! We did run together this morning, not sure I count that as a date though! We are about to start our cleaning!

I hadn't checked this site for a long time, but I know I need it.

I am finding myself eating refined carbs again, with sugar, and more complex carbs more than I need. I definitely have a carb problem.

I know I need exercise in my plan, but I recently moved to an area where the heat and humidity are very difficult to deal with. I guess my next step is to find a local gym where I can workout without dying of dehydration!

Wish me luck, folks!

Lynn,
You can do this! Sounds like you have a plan; finding a gym so you can exercise out of the heat.
Those carbs are evil, they are definately a challenge for me too!
My nephew went to school in Santa Cruz, it is beautiful! We spent last Thanksgiving down there, we had a lovely time and hope to return some time to visit more missions and spend some more time on those beaches!

Thanks for the kind words!

I loved Santa Cruz, went to UC Santa Cruz, graduated in 2005.  sigh.

I'm on the Gulf Coast of Florida now, super-humidty.

Good luck to both of us!
