I did so good yesterday!!!  Until after 7:00 p.m., that is when the snack monster hit.  I kept telling myself NO!!  But I did it any way.  I wasn't even hungry, it was so weird.  More of an emotional thing.  John finally said...You have no will power!   It really hit hard.  I am just at a loss right now.  Trying to get it back together is not easy.  Another day....Dee

Just keep trying one day at a time.  Find something to busy yourself with when the urge hits.  Success is never giving up.  Bad habits are hard to break.

I have been there so many times.  Richard Simmons says to brush your teeth as soon as you can get a little control.  My Weight  Watchers leader said to stop as soon as you can and forgive yourself otherwise guilt eating takes over.  I saw a diet expert on TV that said to drink a glass of water and wait 10 minutes.  If you still want it just eat it.  I know carbs cause my appetite to run wild.  I am really trying to eat very few carbs...even the healthy ones.

How about this idea that came to me after all these years.  I know I can't live without carbs forever, but I can temporarily.  I set my goal weight for 146 lbs.  I am weighing myself every morning and if I am more than 146 lbs. I am not eating anything except protein, fat and veggies.  I have been doing this for a week and the appetite and hunger are way less although I still crave fruit and bread etc.  Just know we are not alone.  Everyone on this board is just like us.

Today is a new day.

That's some good advice!  My problem is that I can eat pretty much anything without physical consequences, and I can eat a LOT!  I need help getting my head back in the game.  What kinds of things do you eat - I can only have so many scrambled egg beaters and Greek yogurt mixed with Simply Fruit!

Thanks!

I can do this, I can do this, I can do this - AND SO CAN YOU!!

I am only hoping this is not going to be foreever.  Like I said when I see 146 on the scale I will relax until I don't see 146 on the scale.  Then I will return to protein, veggies and healthy fats.

today:
B: (weird I know) deli beef, low fat cheese and spinach
S: nature valley nut crunch almond bar (actually lower carb than protein bar)
L: broth with veggies, low fat cheese, spinach, tomato, deli beef and sunflower seeds (aka soup and salad)
S: sugar free and fat free chocolate cheesecake, veggies and broth
D: chicken  breast, veggies and broth
S: veggies and broth, 1 oz pepperjack cheese, spinach and tomato salad

I know this is temporary ****il I reach 146) and if necessary I will go on again every morning I weigh more than 146 lbs..

Greek yogurt mixed with sugar free jam actually sounds wonderful.  I think this is a new staple for me.  thanks

I am so unhappy being my current weight that I decided I will do anything to reach my goal weight.  In the past when I limit carbs I lose the fastest.  I thought I would go with what worked for me in the past.  Right or wrong I have to try something new.

Dee,
I sometimes will eat a big bowl of sugar free jello to the point of I am a bit too full and it will really keep the "snackies" away for a few hours, sometimes that will help me break off a "binge".
Sometimes an hour or two is enough to get me back under control. Brushing your teeth is a great idea too, I have not tried that latley.

If the rest of the day was good and you got some exercise in it might not of been as bad as you think overall in a 24 hour period of time. Tracking as I go along helps me too. I use the daily plate.

Tomorrow is a do over day; you got this!

Thanks Mary...  I have started to track with MyFitnessPal, something I had never really done in the past.  I can use it on my computer plus my phone.  Makes it so easy.  Appreciate all the suggestions...like I have said, I am a continual work in progress!
