Back On Track Together
Hello I am new to the group.
Hello all. I just wanted to introduce myself and give a little info about myself. I had open RNY in Dec of 2006. I am needing to get back on track I have seem to gained a total of 21 lbs in the last 2 months. I have had a 5 lb float since my lowest in the last couple years so when the significant amount of weight in the last 2 months arrived I knew that I needed some other kind of help.
So tomorrow I begin my back on track beginning with the basics that I need to start implementing..
HERE IS A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME:
I have never and I mean never got to the full amount of water needed on a daily basis.
I have never threw up since surgery.
I would say I have not overeaten since surgery but how would I really know since I drink while I eat. I know that is very bad
SO I AM HERE TO MAKE A PLEDGE TO MYSELF THAT I WILL GIVE THIS MY ALL. I NEED SUPPORT AND I AM WILLING TO GIVE IT AS WELL. THANK YOU ALL.

Nice to meet you!
It is great that you have caught your regain at a managable amount- you shouldn't have too hard of a time losing it.
1st you need to figure out why you gained so much so fast. Was it maladaptive eating or is there a medical problem (thyroid, hypoglycemia) We are all smart enough to know if we are gaining because of what we are eating.
If it is the food, go back to basics. REaLLY TRY not to drink while you eat. Protein 1st and go back to the shakes. Keep you food diary.
Good luck and welcome

THank you for your reply. Yes I know drinking while eating is a problem for me.. I do make good food choices always have. I quit smoking a month ago so although the types of food choices are not bad. I know that I seem to be eating more vegetables and stuff.
I have began my back on track now..
Wish me luck
