What did YOU do to get BOT?

What did you do to get BOT?

Did you cut back portion sizes, and if so what are your portions now?
Did you make a menu?
Did you make a plan for the day as to having protein 3x's a day, veggie 3x's and maybe a fruit 1-2x's?
Did you follow a weigh****chers or Atkins type of thing?

I'm just really curious as to when you said, "this is it, today is the day I need to make some HUGE changes". And what all you did and planned to do.

Limit net carbs - but add fiber. (eliminated most starchy carbs, and limit fruits)
Eliminated alcohol (all of it)  (was drinking too much)
Made sure that I take all my vits and supplements - added some that I think I needed
Started exercise (even just got my Wii and Wii Fit board - found it used - the whole set was less
that 150... )
Make sure I eat on a clock - 6 times a day.

Wrote in journal, tracking foods and feelings. Planned protein meals, actively thought about food choices.  Refused a candy bar offering. Drank unsweetened tea.

I printed down the packet from BOTT and went back to basics and started back exercising regularly.  Almost daily.  I am still struggling but I have lost 42 pounds since last March and last year was the 1st year I have not gained weight in about 3 years. 

I use myfitnesspal.com to log my food and exercise and it is a wonderful site for additional support.  I got this from the packet from BOTT and postings from OH.com members.

All the replies given do work and you will surprised at the difference you will notice in your pouch. Since being BOTT and going back to basics...it's almost like being at the beginning not being able to eat as much as I use too.  Journal your food and your thoughts, plan your meals and be concious of what you put in your mouth. protein first, exercise daily even if it's only for 15-30 mintues "do something."  Stay away from the "goodie table at work" and don't let anyone tell you that you can't, because you can do this!
