Back On Track Together
Lent commitment - a reminder - how is everyone doing?
Just a reminder that we do not have much time... But there is still 2 weeks left.
Go back to the previous post and reread the commitments you made to yourself and find out where you are... where you have been.
If you did not do to good... did you do anything for yourself?
maybe you noticed that the commitments were too drastic?
Or that maybe you need extra help - outside help.
Or maybe you need to ask your self - if you have not done what you told you would do.. why not? what is holding you back?
hmmm... I looked at mine and I did not like some points... some I did remarkable well.. others ...no so much...
So what will I do? I asked myself if the issue is stronger than I am? what shall I do?
And the answer is that ... maybe it is... maybe I just want to believe it is beyond my ability? (I don't think so)
So ... remember - failure is not falling down - it is not getting one once you fell...
So get up and keep moving...
I know I have still 2 weeks to do what I intended to do...
and I am on track... since yesterday... on a full track...

Hala. RNY 5/14/2008; Happy At Goal =HAG
"I can eat or do anything I want to - as long as I am willing to deal with the consequences"
"Failure is not falling down, It is not getting up once you fell... So pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again...."
So far I have done pretty well. I did get to the surgical support group as well as diabetic support meetings. Interestingly the surgeon's nurse said I should be evaluated for a revision because of the inappropriate RNY I was given. I am not ready for that though. I feel I can get close to my goal weight with ideas I am learning here. I did the 1 mile run. I might do a 2 mile run next Saturday. In any event I have done many partial sprint tri's at my health club. I feel a difference in my clothes but am avoiding my scale. I am trying to eat a little less every day. I am regularly tracking my food. I have a long road ahead of me though so I just keep chugging along. I will get on the scale in 2 weeks and see what happens.
