So I made the Lenten Promise to get back on track... and here I am in the midst of my first day! In fact, I'm doing the 5 Day Pouch Test because I really like the idea of becoming more mindful of my pouch size and functioning. Doing great so far!!

PBF: 6 oz skim milk
BF: 1 EAS Myoplex Carb Control Protein Shake
Sn: 1 EAS Myoplex Carb Control Protein Shake
L: Campbell's Cream of Brocolli Soup   Num Num Num!!

Scheduled a walk with a dear girlfriend tonight, too.  And I'm really proud of myself for taking this walk since I've not been able to go to the gym for two weeks due to terrible lower back pain.

Feeling good today! Day 1 in progress!

Dinner - baked ricotta
Have a great day!

Hoping I can make today my Day 1 of my Back on Track.  Coming up on my 3-yr surgiversary.  Weight now is exactly same as one year ago, very close to my own goal, and until Feb. of this year I  had not had band adj since mid-2009.  Felt like I had achieved the optimal adjustment, so why mess with success?  This past winter, though, following bronchitis and lots of coughing, I developed a nasty reflux.  Could not sleep or eat, lost weight quickly, was miserable.  Doc put me on PPI, and another Rx anti-reflux med.  No relief.  Saw new surgeon (due to insurance change), *****moved ALL saline from band and ordered barium swallow test to see if band had slipped.  Results:  no slippage, I felt immediately better, and can now eat like a horse, which I did.  Put on 10 lb in no time flat (about a month).  Saw doc last week, she added 2cc (10cc capacity).  Still no restriction.  She wants to proceed slowly - great advice given my history, but my hunger, and therefore my eating, remains uncontrolled.  Not a believer but love the idea of the Lent challenge.  I too have trouble with carbs.  Walked to work today!  If I do this 3-4 times a week I will achieve 7-9 miles of walking.  Trying not to panic.  What if band stops working entirely?  If I could do this alone I would have, that's why it's such a great tool for me.  Need some encouragement and advice.  Feeling like I was successful once, but am too close to failure now.
