Hi Julie!
Welcome to BOTT!  I guess I'm confused about why you would want an upper GI.  Are you having problems?  Getting back on track is really just getting back to basics.  If you check out Cathy Wilson's topic at the top of the forum you'll see that she has some great suggestions. I struggle with emotional eating. It's a battle every day.  The most important things are to eat protein, avoid white carbs, no drinking 30 min. after eating and get some exercising in.  I find that posting my food every day helps me have a plan of attack.  It also helps for me to see exactly what I've been putting in my mouth.
You can do this, Julie!

Welcome to BOTT.  Congratulations on your baby.   Even if you have a failed RNY (I do) you can still lose weight.  I am not able to get by with as little food as the others so I eat veggies and eat 6 meals a day...homemade fat free low carb soups and salads with fat free dressing.  I didn't get here eating too many veggies.    I write down my food and count  calories.  Exercise is important but you can just take your baby for a walk every day possible.  I agree with Deb 100%. Carbs definitely increase appetite.  You will get used to not eating many.  Mine come primarily from whole grains, fruits and yogurt.  Deb even has me eating fat free plain yogurt which only has 6 carbs and 80 calories.  It is a very supportive bunch here.  Welcome and good luck.

 so how do you know if you have a failed RNY? Does that mean you pouch is streatched out? I do not eat nearly as much as I did before but its just not like it was the months after surgery. IT seems like lately every thing I put in my mouth is bad and I eat and drink at the same time. I am going try the liquids for a couple days, I think its called the 5 day pouch test.

You can check with your doctor but I doubt anything is wrong with your pouch.  Are you going to have another surgery for less than weight gained?  I recommend finding a way to get the emotional eating under raps.  I am not sure why you need to know if pouch has stretched. The pouch does stretch over the years.  If you are thinking of a revision please deal with the emotional eating 1st.  Hopefully you with print the wonderful package that has been prepared by the group leader here.  Congrats on your new baby!   One day at a time.

Here is the link Julie;
http://www.obesityhelp.com/group/backontracktogether/discuss ion/3828536/Back-On-Track-Together-Guidelines-and-Informatio n/  I use myfitnesspal.com to log my food and calories.  If you are interested in joining me there email me your email address.  It is so neat and it has really helped me lose 40 of the 80 pounds that I had gained.

You have taken your 1st step by coming here!  We sort of lost the leaders of the group.  But there is a lot of support on this site and others.  You just have to be diligent about finding it and finding something that works for you.  It is challenging but if you fully commit to this and don't give up even when the going gets tough you can succeed.  Success is not giving up.  I had some challenging months last year.  I was going up and down for about 4 months and finally I stopped in December.  Something clicked and I was tired of yo-yoing.  My point is I was not about to give up.  Because, like you I did have my pouch checked and my surgeon said my pouch was fine. The link is awesome.  I never did the 5 day pouch thing they suggest but I did get back to basics by doing days of protein and veggies only.  That alone will kick start your weight loss.

Another thing I do is I attend face to face support groups and telephone support group also.  The telephone support groups are wonderful and helpful.
