Back On Track Together
Hello ...
I have been here and there... not really weighing myself lately... but need to lose some fat i gained.
I have a bad HR so i was trying to play with my food and weight to see if gaining some weight will help my RH. Someone suggested that with a very low body fat - and low carb eating - my RH is bad, but if I can gain some weight, and increase daily carbs in my diet (good carbs) then I may be better.
I played with that for a while. My size 6 pants got tight, I gained some weight... (I think 10lbs?) stopped exercising, went on hormonal therapy... and ... my RH is as bad, if not worse than it was.
So ... screw that (I say that with a high respect).. I am back to my low carb (low net carbs - not counting fiber) and I will lose the extra fat I gained.
I have not left you guys, but there was not really much to report... from a person who is trying to gain some weight to see if her RH improves.
BTW: for some that not know RH = reactive hypoglycemia.... the curse of RNY - at least for some folks. It is a low blood sugar (BS) level that follows 1-2 hrs after meal that has carbohydrates. And a bad case is one that reacts to almost any carbs - complex, natural fruits, milk, etc. Not fun life. The only way to deal with that is to follow low carb diet. No more than 10 gr of carbs per serving and no liquid carbs (milk, juices, etc) unless to raise really low BS (as low as 30)

I watched your posts. And I have been on RNY, and other forums.
It is just so time consuming. And since I was not really trying to lose but trying to see if I can control my RH, (and my drinking... oh.... - probably due to the low blood sugars I was having)
So now I am back on healthy - low carb diet. My body goes crazy with the carbs. And I hope that in time I can really control my wine drinking and the low blood sugar headaches I am getting. Darn you do- darn you don't. But I am on a right path. I think.
Keep the good work and the good messages. They are very good.
I may try to see if people are interested in "Lent challenge". I am planning todo some "clean eating" and cleansing both physical and mental during that time.
It starts on March 9th... until Easter. So a good few weeks. Even non - belivers can join - since it is not about the religion, but about a person.
