I will be posting the "thanksgiving goal" next week.  get ready to let us knwo how you did...
Think about the progress you made...

And remember  - even if you did not meat the goals you set for yourself  this time - I hope you learn something during the process.    So maybe you need smaller goals? or shorter term goals?  or maybe you have a better undertanstaning of where you are and where you need to be?

get ready for next week...

Hi Hala-I lost instead of gained and I did learn a lot this month.  Not as much as I wanted (unless I lose a lot next week).  I really appreciate the advice I am getting from everyone.  We are all different and yet are headed on the same journey.  I am surprised at how many people a long time after surgery have 40 lbs. to lose.  That must be a magic number.  If I were a researcher I would research that.  I have moved my soup to between meals, cut down my wine and am aiming for 20% fat, 30% protein and 50% complex carbs with no simple carbs.  I hope we do a Christmas or New Years challenge as well.  I really don't want to gain weight this holiday season like the past 4 years.  Good luck to everyone.  Just me

Great.
BTW: I aim at 35% fat, 40% proteins and 25 % (net) carbs (net = carbs - fiber)
though I try to eat mostly healthy fats- nuts, flax meal, coconul oil, flax seed oil, etc.  And some (not much) in milk fat (cream).
fat keep my RH in check.  more carbs - and my RH gets really "ugly".

I will do the Christmas.
i am goingout of town - so I need to be in a top shape.

Hmmm...what were my goals again?
I'll tell you what I've done well this past month.  I'm taking my vitamins daily.  Working out at least 3-4 times a week.  Also doing my yoga.  I've stopped eating crap!!!
I'm also trying to eliminate my mid-meal snacks.  If I really need something, it will be veggies w/fage dip.  Overall, I think I'm heading in the right directions.  Thanks for keeping us "goal minded", H2!

Hey,.
How did I do - as well as I could.

Vitamins - check.

exercise - not so much

good food - check

lost weight - not really - I gained some (10 lbs) hoping that extra fat on my body would help me with the RH and my hormones.  My butt looks better so is my face.  My boobs got bigger... but overall my RH is as bad if not worse than before... So... Decided that the extra weight is not helping, I do not like my legs and belly, and feel more tired.  So i guess i will try to lose (exercise - tone) 5 lbs and see if that helps.

alcohol drinking  - not so good in that area.  I do like my wine, and i have a hard time to convince myself that I need to stop drinking.   To check if I am in trouble or not - starting today and for the Christmas goal - I will not have the alcohol. See if I can do that.  It not - then I will have to give it up for good.
