Can anyone give me ideas for snacks, please. I work 12 hr shifts, sitting in a chair. I nibble periodically thru my shift, especially on nights. I have been eating alot of fresh fruit lately but I think that is sabotaging my efforts to get back on track. I have tried making protein bars. OMG they are yummy but I find that my craving for chocolate is increased when I eat them.
Well I just found out that the healthy ones deli meat 4 slices has 10 g protein and only 60 calories. Pair this with a string cheese and it is an excellent snack. I will be pulling the string cheese into 4 sections and wrapping the meat around the cheese. I have in the past done this with pickle spears in the center with meat wrapped around it.
I am going to go hunt down old food logs and find some snacks.
I also used to make beef jerky. It was something I could chew and chew and chew and that helped my cravings for food.
I just pulled out the can of chike protein and put it on the counter. So much for clean counter tops. I need my stuff where I can see it and will use it.
