Update
It's been awhile but I thought I'd stop in. I made it to Detroit on my first ever road trip out of the Upper Peninsula of MI. I did a great job if I do say so myself. I even went off course and brought the kids to Chucke Cheese, drove in the city at night and crossed the bridge twice (once in high winds). That was the hardest part for me. I made it to 199# but because of my road trip I am up to 201 again. I forgot what day that was. I will have to see if I wrote it somewhere. It was recent though (last few weeks).
I am still struggling with protein (the rest has mostly come together). I read somewhere about adding 2 scoops to a shake. Then I thought I read we can't absorb that much at once. Someone inform me which one is true. I can ask at my next dr appt at the end of this month. I was hoping for some info sooner though.

I make my shakes with 2 scoops. i think that is a myth that we can only absorb so much. Most likely- not true. Most muscle builders start their day with at least 50 gr of proteins.
And we malabsorb anyway - so adding a little more - may make a difference. Sometimes I drink my drink in 10-15 min, but most days - it tale me 30-60 min to drink it. I try to get 2 drinks per day than add foods. That way - I know I had enough of proteins (I am constantly testing low normal) and then i can stress less about trying to get the rest. my goal is 120-150 gr per day. And that is working for me.
