Back On Track Together
Hello and Happy Friday!
Hello,
I'm 15 months out and stuck. I've been stuck for about 6 months. Actually, "stuck" probably isn't the correct word because I know what the problems are - grazing and sugar. I've lost 91 lbs and feel great, but I don't want to stop here. At 5'1" I'm still at 200 lbs and that's not where I want to be.
So I'm trying to think of things to do to get "back on track". I do well with working out and I've started seeing a therapist about the food (sugar specifically.) I also thought getting support here would help. I've been trying to decide whether posting my food on the daily post would be a good idea, but I think I'll try it. I'm also going to get in touch with a person I met here who was a big help to me in the past.
Thanks for listening,
Tonya

Hi Tonya! I'm 18 months out and been dealing with binges and emotional eating/grazing and I don't dump hard on sugars. My best advice (knowing I'm not far out from you) is to keep doing what you know is right and forgive yourself for the mistakes and get up and start over and keep on doing it. If we are successful more than we fail, we will be successful overall. I'm glad you can work out well. I have chronic health issues and have difficulty doing much more than walking. My surgeon suggested weight training to build muscle since muscle burns more calories and allows you to eat more. It also makes us look healthier. You can do it and coming here and going to a counselor are great ways to keep on fighting the good fight.
I saw the pychiatrist that did my initial eval quite a few times after surgery. It really helped. I would still go but with insurance changes....she doesn't take my new insurance. Emotional eating is difficult to conquer. I am going to try and post more. Hoping that will make me feel more accounatable. Hang in there. You are not alone.
