Discouraged

I had my sleeve January 7, 2010 and I weighed 243.  I now weigh 187.  Why is it taking so long.  I will stay at the same weight for weeks at a time and then lose maybe 1 lb.  This is getting very discouraging. I keep track of what I eat so I know I have been eating between 800 and 1000 cal a day but the last fews days I have been getting into things like a chip here and a bite of something there.  I do not want to start picking but when I get upset I eat emotionally and this is staring to make me think I did this all for nothing.
I started a new job so I do not get to exercise like I did.
Any suggestions?  I do not want to stay at this weight but I have been here for 3 weeks now.

Looks as though you might be eating enough.  Check with your dr/nutritionist

Sorry to hear you are discouraged.  You have lost 56 pounds in just 5 months!  Congrats to you and keep up the good work!  Stalls happen and it is possible you may not be eating enough of the right stuff or may be going into starvation.   Experiment. See below thread for some suggestions and tweak wherever you need to. Talking to your program nutritionist is a good suggestion also.

Have u been using a tape measure? A stall only happens if no pounds or inches are being lost. I will lose small pounds but will drop inches. Which personally I like more, no one can look at me and know my weight. Muscle weighs more than fat, but takes up less space. I bet your building muscle.  I would start to use a tape measure once a week in addition to your scale, and try to add some extra cardio and strength training into your routine.

Good Luck!
