 Hey Botts,

How is it going?  It seems like  yesterday we started this challenge and now it's almost done.  How are you doing?  Are you reaching your goals?  Are you falling short? If so, why?  Let us help?  I feel better but the scale is not moving for me. I don't worry too much about a number but it sure is nice when it moves our way.

The weekend is coming up and the weather is nice.  Watch what you put on the grill and in your mouth and use the outdoors to move, move, move!!!!

Come on in and be accountable!!!  Share and inspire!!!

Take care,
Kathy

I'm struggling with stress and health problems and 12 pounds of what I believe is fluid since it came on literally overnight and the course of a day and I'll whittle it down and then it will be back and it's driving me insane.

I had an umbilical hernia repaired June 7, but the problems began when I lost my uncle and my cousin unexpectedly in March and April, in that order.  So I ate bad nasty foods to "comfort" myself - brain is definitely not fixed - and have been fighting that battle periodically ever since.  I have a binge problem I am working on and so far I win more days than I lose thankfully, but it's awful seeing the scale up when you know you are doing it all right...

Can anyone relate? I really wanted to get another 20 pounds off by the Cincinnati event...

Hi Kathy,
So far so good.  I was doing great - gave up alcohol, eating healthy, and getting back into my weight range, even exercised 4-5 times a week.  Then i got sick.  Really sick - upper respiratory horrible infection. It was worse and worse... now - day 9th of it - I finally believe that in a next few days - I will be able to go back to exercises.  i could not breath, sleep, etc.
But - I survived.  probably ate more carbs that before so gained a few lbs - but that may be also water retention due to the inflammation... I do not worry too much about it.  Once I am back on my low carb diet - that weight will just fall off. And once I can breathe again - I will be back to my yoga and other exercises 4-6 times a week.  I feel lost without it now.

I am also cleaning my  diet - and eating more natural - with much less additives - food.

Do you plan a next for a Labor Day?  I like having goals.  Short term goals - trying to accomplish one or 2 things.
