The more you see your goals the more you will do it.

"Ingrid Bergman once said, "Happiness is good health and a bad memory." But without a good memory, good health may not even be possible. If your new goals and new habits aren't kept top of mind, you can sink back into those old routines without even realizing it."

Seeing your goals anywhere and everywhere will build momentum for weeks to come. The more you see it, the more you'll do it.

Excellent post, Molly. Once again I'll refer back to my fave post op book...Beck's Diet Solution. It recommends that you write your goals on index cards and read them a few times every day...kind of positive reinforcement. Also you write out what are called...Advantage Response Cards...more positive reinforcements. It works if you stick to it and read it when you feel yourself slipping.

I agree with you.
After I read the "Dr Beck diet solution" - I made a list of reasons to stay on track - reasons to stay thin.  I printed a few copies of the list and and laminated them.  Placed them all over the house - in my wallet, my car, my work - etc.  The list on my fridge and on my cupboards kept me in charge of my eating when the desire to snack hit me.  There were the reasons - that I felt were important - and since it took a minute or 2 to read the card - some days - the snacking did not happen - and some days - the snacking was limited to good - protein rich foods.

Having the list "IN MY FACE" helps me maintain my weight.
