 Hey Botts,

I was overwhelmed with work  yesterday and didn't get a chance to post here.  Sorry

So how did you do?  How did the weekend go?  What worked for you and what didn't?  It ended up being myself and my husband as the weather turned bad and the kids didn't come over.  I did very well with my eating but my lazy butt just rested this weekend.  I "did" walk the dogs but nothing more challenging   I was tired and I think we deserve to recharge our batteries for time to time.

So come on in, let's get caught up and share the good, the bad and the ugly

Take care,
Kathy

i did... lousy  - relatively.  i did not exercise as much as i wanted, spent too much money shopping and ate too much.  But - it was just a weekend and - my body revolted - my insides do not like me (not only my pouch) so now I am on liquids.  Too many carbs, even good ones - make me sick and bloated.  And I hate that.  The pain - the pressure.  But - on a good note - that is a lesson I learn (again and again and again...and...) and now carbs do not even look good.  So i am not tempted.  i am not tempted to eat anything, but shakes are OK.

I went to yoga today - so that is good, and will go tomorrow. Then Friday -Sat - Sun i am at symposium and I will do a lot of herbs, walking and eating good foods.  So - that will be good weekend.   My weight is steady... still within my goal range - and that is good.
And since I started yoga - I am really getting hooked on it and not going to class in 2 days was just weird.  I missed it.

Which I could say I had a wonderful weekend and I stay on my diet but  I can not report that. I can say that I have started a new goal and that is to lose 10 lbs of my 30 lbs I have gained and then I will work on another 10 lbs. I also went to talk to the dietitian that my doctor recommended I see last October; figured better late than never, anyway she gave me some very good advise. She gave me some samples of Unjury that I find I really like. After looking over my daily intake of food for the last 5 day we found out that half my calorie intake was coming from snacking which I knew I was doing a lot of but did not really realize how much. I am also going back to walking. I love the heat and now that it is much warmer here in south Texas I think I will feel more like walking. I am suppose to meet with my doctor the first of July and I am hoping to be down at least those 10 lbs. Wish me luck. I am feeling very good about this, almost like a fresh start. I realize that I will have days that are very hard but I pray I can get through this successfully.

After a disastrous Friday, I did wonderful Sat, Sun, and Monday.  I usually do not exercise Sat and Sun.  I exercised all 3 days and lost weight also!  I have been doing well this last 2 weeks I am very happy to report.  I had a real blip Friday but got right back on the stick and lost the 2 pounds gained and more.

My past history has been if to take Friday bad day to the whole weekend and I did not do that this past weekend.

I think going back to health club is getting me back motivated to get back on track.  I see the inches falling so I want the weight to follow.  Last month I went to HC 3 times a week and this month I am shooting for 4 to 5 times a week.  Thanks for caring!

This is fantastic.  I admire that.  I tried the HC - but I really hate them.  The noise, the so many people, who darn it, want to exercise at exactly the same time I do  (LOL) and some of the stares... i used to go to HC often with a friend and that was fine, but hate going there my myself.
But I love yoga.  It is more peaceful and more gentle.  As I get older - I need more of that.  need more 'happy peaceful thoughts".
I know I will go hiking - but that later.   i am glad you doing good.  i like seeing your positive messages and your smiley face - your avatar is so "sunny" . Glad you're having fun.
I am also shooting for 4-5 times a week yoga.  Instead of none or 1-2 times a month ....before this challenge started.

Working out in the mornings at HC is cool. Most people are there to workout and not stare and worry about stupid stuff, like how big you are etc.  I call the evening crowds the meat pack.  On the prowl......:-)  Thanks for you support!

Hugs,
Molly
