Back On Track Together
New to Group
Hello I am Barbara. New to this group. I need some motivation to get back on track. I had lap band surgery March 2008. Starting weight 270 current weight 200, lowest weight after lap band 176. I look forward to getting to know you all and also being a source of encouragement. I recently accepted a job in the Middle East. I am a charge nurse as a small ARMY trrop medical clinic in Qatar . I am loveing my job and my life here thus far. I call this my working womans sabbatical. No excuses now here, for not working out. I have time for no one but work and "ME" here. Life is good, very good.
I am not afraid of tomorrow,
for I have seen yesterday
and I love today......
Hi Barbara,
Wow, your job really takes you places! You are not too far out of your surgery to get back on track. Try to go back to the basics, no drinking with meals, no white foods, lots of protein and exercise. Unfortunately, it's not easy to do , but we are here for you. Make sure that you plan your meals in advance, that seems to help everyone. We post daily to the Cardio/Cafe. I look forward to visiting with you and to see your progress.

Hello Deb
Thanks for those encoraging words. Good advise to get back to the basics. It's already 2:30 pm over here. It was a fairly good day, thus far. Just HOT. I plan on going to the cardio room this evening. I refuse to let this weight issue get the best of me. Thanks again for reaching out.

Welcome Barbara - Hope you find this group as helpful as I have. I know that I could/would not have gotten back/stayed on track to reach my goal weight and lower it by 5 pounds had it not been for their caring, support, understanding, acceptance, and positiveness. I call them angels in disguise as humans I'm living proof the lap band works - had mine in Dec. 2005. I've lost a little over one of me Weighed 220 then and 105 now. You might find the Back On Track Together thread here helpful and being accountable - many of us have. If you're comfortable, post often and allow us to share your journey.
