Back On Track Together
Losing weight again -- finally!
Hello! I just wanted to share with those who need to get back on track. I put on about 25 pounds in the past year and couldn't seem to get myself to lose it. About five weeks ago, I joined weigh****chers and, so far, have lost 14 pounds! My husband joined with me and has lost 20 pounds. I go to the weigh in and the meetings every week, which really does help.
I am so glad to see this post. How do you get in your protein while on weigh****chers? What is an average day of meals like?
I don't know if you have seen Dotti's weight loss Zone website but it is really cool for those doing weigh****chers. http://www.dwlz.com/ If you are not familiar wiht website go in and look around has everything you need.
My mom did weigh****chers and lost 80 lbs in one year. I was never getting the protein I needed so hopefully you guys can give some examples of ways you get in your protein and stay in your point range. I did not use the protein powder which I guess I needed.
Looking forward to your responses.
Jenn
I joined WW in January and I have not lost anything and I feel like its too much food. I get 33 points per day but I have been talking to others who have recommended going to the simply filling food program which means veggies and protein and only 1 whole grain per day.
What are you doing if you dont mind me asking, becuase I really want to do my best but I know I'm not eating enough points, and when I do get enough points in, its because I have made wrong choices and not getting in what WW calls healthy food guidelines.

As for protein, I really don't track it all that well. However, I did find a cereal, Kashi GoLean, that has a decent amount.
As for my husband, he lost bunches of weight with me after I had gastric bypass surgery and he had gained a little too. He was a little skeptical at first, but when he lost 20 lbs, he was a believer.
As for the poster who has not had success with weigh****chers, I'm not really sure what could be the problem. Make sure you count every morsel you put in your mouth. I was guilty of "not counting" a few bites here and there. Also, I really tried to cut down on carbs too, at least white carbs. I eat only whole wheat and I eat tons of vegetables. I hope that helps and good luck to you!
