Hope everyone had an awesome Mother's Day! I'm just checking in! I haven't been on but I've been lurking. I've been a little off track. I've been doing some stress eating and I know where that leads. I haven't lost a pound in a month. I know I need to start exercising. I just can't get motivated to do so. I am now on dayshift and it's a whole new world. Very stressful! I know that exercise would with the stress. Anyone with some motivational words of wisdom would be very helpful!

Yesterday was my worst day of eating in a while so today it's back to the ol' grindstone. Back to my plan today. I worked yesterday and it was a stressful day. Mother's day is always stressful for me anyway. I got into the vanilla wafers which are my stress food at work. We have them for the patients but the nurses get into them. They always order more than we need just for that reason. I also had a small piece of strawberry pie, which is my favorite!!! I feel myself slipping back into old habits again because I haven't lost and it's frustrating. Moving the stationary bike back to the house today from the storage unit!

Well just felt the need to post today and get with the program again! I'm not blind to the fact that there will be off days but I've had a few of them lately and I know where I'm headed so that's why I come to BOTT! You guys are always there for me and I appreciate it!

Take care!
Janie

Janie - It might help if you rephrased that - instead of "back to the grindstone" how about "back to loving myself"?  Words, whether spoken or thought, are so very powerful.

If you are comfortable, please post often and allow us to share your journey.  Consider posting daily on our Cardio & Cafe thread.  It helps me and, perhaps, it would help you as well.

YOU CAN DO THIS, YES YOU CN!!!!!

I like that phrase "back to loving myself". I just have to keep saying it to believe it but it makes sense and means a lot.

Thanks!!

Hi Janie.
I´m sitting exactly where you are. I´ve been doing very well for the past month, yet yesterday was a very tough day for me stress wise. I ate every cookie I could get my hands on and then a cinnamon roll. I´m a huge carb addict so as soon as I went to sleep I pledged to myself that it was over and that the new day would bring renewed resolutions.
It´s early yet, but I had a good, solid brakfast and i´m laying the groundwork for some responsible eating today. I have all my meals mapped out and I´m committed to NOT FALLING into THE ABYSS again!
We can do it!!
One day at a time!
Good luck Janie.
Take Care,
Marisa
