Back On Track Together

Patience.

Be patient.

We've all dreamt about "The Day"--the glorious morning when we step on the scale and that magic number blinks into view. And having WLS was a BIG, exciting step toward that goal.

But eventually, the novelty wore off, right? And as you settled into your daily routine, your journey began to seem tedious. Perhaps your weight loss slowed or you hit a plateau. If depression and despair threaten your goals, remember that patience is the key.

Action for the day: Parenting, like other life journeys, is often described as a "marathon" rather than a "sprint." Today, have a mini-marathon of your own. Take a walk around the neighborhood, but instead of turning it into a workout, force yourself to slow down and enjoy the outdoors. And if there happen to be roses along your path, be sure to take a whiff.
