Back On Track Together
Wednesday Cardio & Cafe
Good Morning Everyone!
I am so grateful that yesterday is over and today is a new day. I really can not say that I have a boring life, because each day is FULL and moves very quickly.
After a busy day at work today, I am getting a real treat. I will be getting an hour in a reflection/meditation room with a fountain before I receive a one hour deep tissue massage. This is a rare treat and was a birthday gift from last year from my BFF. I had almost forgotten about the certificate and when I found it, I wondered why I was saving it. For me, these massages are one of those times that it "hurts so good"! I will ask that my legs get the most attention. Although they always bruise, these massages always help release some of the trapped fluid and get the blood flow moving in my legs.
I am going to concentrate on fluids today to prepare myself for the most benefits of tonight's treat. I PLAN to be in the office for the entire day, so will have access to a blender and a large supply of protein drink options. If it works out as I hope, I want to try and get rid of any carb cravings and a day of protein drinks usually takes care of this urge.
Since I PLAN to be in the office, I will attempt to make as many trips down stairs to check on the other departments. Whenever I go down the stairs, I have to go back up to get to my office. I am still amazed at the ease I can go up the stairs now. Three years ago I would go up the stairs to my office in the morning and never leave the 2nd floor until it was time to go home or leave for an appointment.
But we all know what happens to our best laid plans!
Hope you all have a WONDERFUL day!

I had a glorious suprise this am - It's Wednesday. Now that may not sound like a suprise at all (Wednesday pretty much always comes after Tuesday - boring!) but I had just crawled out of bed and was still in my waking-up fog when I turned on the Weather Channel and heard Al Roker say It's Wednesday - I thought it strange that no one corrected his obvious error. But by the time I was dressing for work, it hit me that it REALLY was Wednesday - one day closer to the weekend LOL
I have a full day (started to say hard, but elected not to as I sure don't need me stuffing any more garbage in my "backpack" As we think, so shall we eat. I just wrote on Kathy's post about trigger situations and sure 'nuff my first patient presents with one of those situations (and sure 'nuff if I wasn't paying attention I could go downstairs to Starbuck's and load up on their cookies - but I'm not going to!) And you know what - it's OK for me not to know everything, but it's NOT OK for me not to use what I do know.
Goody, your day may not go as you planned (experience tells us it probably won't) but it is your plan that will carry you through - 1. Limits the # of decisions you'll have to make and 2. You will put time and effort into making it work. Long long ago when I was in Weigh****chers our very wise leader taught us - If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. So......we have it right here in writing, You aren't planning to fail. GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!
Since the day is full and I've rambled here on line for a while, I'm just going to post that my exercise will be walking and stairs and if you read yesterday's food plan, today is pretty much the same CALS -1408 CARBS -84g PROTEIN - 206g
I'm off and running (figuratively speaking - I don't do "running" - hip replacement and lack of motivation is why)
Think good, Eat good, my friends

Happy are more right about my plans then you think. It is almost 3:30 PM and I have spent the day at our capital's (Raleigh) airport. When I got in the office no one wanted to go for our agency owner because they were terrified of the traffic, so off I went on the 1.5 hr ride to the airport.
Since I only had a few minutes to plan this trip, I hurried and got my cup of black coffee and a bottle of water and off I went. I did stop for a soy latte at Whole Foods and later ate a protein bar I keep in my purse. I did stop and purchased a flat fresh strawberries at the farmer's market but was able to wait to get back to Fayetteville to make a huge protein shake. So although I was not able to keep with liquids, I did get lots in today and only ate a protein bar (low carb).
I am looking forward to tonight and some pampering.
Hope you had a GREAT day!

Good morning Goody and BOTTers!
Happy Wednesday! Not much going on here today, just meeting some ladies for coffee at Panera's. There used to be a time when I would panic about going to a restaurant, not anymore. Since BOTTing, I've learned to plan my day of food. Before I leave for an outing, I check out the restaurant's website, and plan my food. I can now walk into the restaurant and not be bothered by the pastry on the counters. I just order from my BOTT food plan. So today I will have:
Breakfast - fage w/lean kashi
Lunch - 1/2 sandwich (minus bread) and side salad
Dinner - bbq beef on arnolds thin roll
Snack - fage w/s.f. caramel
I hope that everyone has a great day!
