Good Morning Everyone!

I know I have been away for sometime, I  have missed you all so very much.

Hope you had a restful, restoring and enjoyable weekend!  I spent the weekend just reading, relaxing and watching some recorded tv.  I got in some much needed sleep each night with an average of 9-10 hours.  It was nice to be able to turn my mind off enough to be able to enjoy reading again.  As an avid reader, it has been very disturbing to realize my mind would not turn off enough for me to enjoy even a magazine these last few months.

In the last few months I have learned a very valuable lesson in life, that is that I need to take care of me first.  I was putting others first and my time never came.  I started listing everything I was doing for me that was helping in my healthy journey through life and realized I was no longer using or implementing these tools.  I was going back to my pre-WLS days and putting others before my needs.  I think at 3 years out I thought I could do it all, but alas I am simply human.

So starting today, this minute, I am going back to the beginning and the BASICS.  I started by coming here for my daily dose of my OH friends.  I can't promise to make it everyday, but for today, I am here.  I have committed to getting at the very least 64 oz of water in EVERYDAY  ( unfortunately it took a very very dark urine for me to realize I was NOT getting in my water),  I will limit my coffee intake to just one very large "cup" to start my day and then cut myself off.
I will eat 6 small meals each day of 200-250 calories each (I have already made sure I have enough food both at home and work to make sure this is possible).

I hope each of you is doing well today.

Have a FANTASTIC and BOTT Monday!

Good morning Goody and fellow BOTT'ers!

Goody, it sounds like you've got a plan and are moving forward. Congrats!  We do need to realize that we must come first in order to be able to help others. I'm sure that you will be able to get BOT with your plan and be successful.

I'm happy as a lark this morning because I lost 5 pounds last week (weighed in at weigh****chers on Saturday). Yesterday's workout was hard as I had a set of 3 different exercises on the floor. Mind you that I haven't done any exercises on the floor ever. So I am very sore this morning, lower back, thighs, abd's and arms. But, I did my 35 minutes on the elliptical with 5 minutes on Level 2 intensity.  First, I didn't want to do any exercise today since I am so sore, but I told myself that I should go and do what I can. So I started out slowly and then before I knew it, there goes the 35 minutes. YAY!!!

Meal plan for today:
B - 1/2 cup cottage cheese with sliced radishes and strawberries.
L - sliced turkey breast over mixed green salad with balsamic vinegar.
D - Tilapia filet with california blend vegetables.
S - chocolate rice cake with 1 TBS peanut butter and Dannon Lite & Fit Yogurt.

Vitamins and lots of water too.

It's going to be a great BOTT day everyone!

I see you are on weigh****chers.  I too attend meetings but dont follow their point recommendation.

How do you follow the WW plan?

I'm curious to see how others who have had WLS do on WW.  There is another gal at my meeting who comes to meetings but she is on mainteance.

Hi Jennifer.

I don't follow the weigh****chers plan since I had the RNY almost 5 years ago.

I follow my RNY/band program. My leader knows that I had WLS. I lost 100 pounds on WW prior to my RNY. I wanted to stay with WW. Hopefully, one day I can work for them - once I am within 10 pounds of my goal.

For me, it's another support group that I love to attend. I've gotten to know a lot of people at the meeting and have become friends through the years.

Take care!
Lucy

Hello Botters,

Today I have to go back to the basics, I wasn't very good last week(end) and I show a 2 lb gain this week.  I have been craving starches again so I am going to do a couple days of liquids to get it out of my system.  I WILL NOT allow this gain to stay !

Today:

D - Beef Broth

water, water and more water

Cafe has been awful  but getting it back on track too.
Vitamins taken and water is on the menu.  Packing a salad for lunch, still unsure about dinner.

Take care all and have a great day.  Z

My meals have been crazy but I finally kicked the pickle chip craving.

B- 1 cucumber with vinegar
L- 2 eggs with 1 slice of toast with yogurt butter
S- 12 cocoa almonds
S- two bites of the chicken off the hubby's chicken pizza
D- 3 bites of mac and cheese (weird new craving)
S- toast

Lately, I've been feeling really ick and I'm trying to get more protein down but I get sick from all different protein drinks. My other bad vice which isn't as bad is it could be was on Saturday and Sunday I would take a small plate and put blue corn chips and top it with cheese, onion, tomato, jalapeno and avocado and have nachos.
