Tuesday BOTT - What's on your mind?

Hi BOTTers,

What's up?  Is it beautiful outside or what??!!  I have major Spring Fever.  We've been eating dinner outside every night and it has been great. 

After watching Jamie Oliver's show "Food Revolution" I am on a health kick.  I also watched the dvd "Food, Inc." and was astounded.  Get this.....I've been cooking.  Yes, me.  I am NOT Martha Stewart or Rachael Ray by any means.  Seeing Jamie Oliver show how chicken nuggets are made grossed me out to the point that I really took a look at not only what I'm eating but my family too.  My picky, picky son likes to cook so I made a brocolli dish with him and he ate a normal size portion of it.  That is HUGE.

I'm actually enjoying cooking.  Nothing gourmet but simple things. This week I am making the recipe in the April issue of the member newsletter - Rhapsody in Bleu.  It satisfies all my criteria - healthy, simple and easy.

I've gotten two new books - and they are great   "50 ways to soothe yourself without food" by Susan Albers and "The Food & Feelings workbook" by Karen R. Koenig  Lots of new ideas.  Am thoroughly enjoying them.

Sounds good!  I am reading Dare to lose right now. I think I will put 50 ways.....on my list also.  Is this a long book?

I have the Food, Inc DVD and I am scared to watch it.  I have to watch it soon and I meant to watch the show Friday but I was not at home.  Hopefully I can catch it this week!  I plan to go to health club Thursday  for the 1st time in over a year!  I am excited too.  I am excited about seeing old friends and I know they have been wondering where have I been.  Everything is falling in place for me with exercising and eating.  Saturday I am having a scope done to see if they can approve me for revision if I decide to go that route.  So I am feeling very good today!!

Reading "The Beck Diet Solution" and gaining great insight into myself and my habits! It's a super good book!

I'm also cooking healthier, though I've been cooking since I was little. hehe Just making better choices and healthier meals. I post the recipes on the recipe forum for those that would like to see. I even include photos! hehe

Happy cooking and I wi**** was warm enough here for us to eat outside!! It's nasty, cold, and dreary. I'm soo over this wet weather!!
