Monday was the first day of starting over. I think I did very well. I prepared meals for lunches for the week on Sunday, so no excuses to eat out. I also avoided the HUGE bag of choc. that at work. (was not easy at all!) I planned out snacks and dinners too and put some things in the freezer. I would be great to so what others think, is it to much food or not enough. I'm 5 yrs. out.

I like it!.... compared to how some of my days can be!
I would suggest adding a little protein to both of your snacks, maybe some almonds or peanut butter with your banana and some cottage cheese of greek yogurt with your strawberries.

Thanks for your suggestion about the protein. I got some cottage cheese to try, and also got some light cheese strings to try too. I tried some crunchy peanut butter for snack today and liked it.( about 2oz)  I'm always worried about eating to much and /or to many calories. Thanks again. Omee

Congratulations!

I started my back on track plan same day as you.
I´m a BIG sugar addict so my diet is quite different from yours in that I´m eating a higher ratio of proteins and fats. They both fill me up and neither of them leaves me craving carbs.

I´d suggest starting off with a little more protein just because protein is a great filler and doesn´t cause sugar spikes... (like I said, I have my difficulties with carbs, even good ones like bananas and strawberries.) But that´s my experience, it might not be yours.

Good luck and if you feel like you´re stumbling, feel free to write!

Good luck to us both!!

Congrats to you too!

Thanks for the suggestion of more protein. I went shopping earlier and got a few more things of protein to eat.  I could make protein shakes for snack time but afraid of all the calories.

I'm trying to get away from all the candy that I've been eating. (just plain stupid on my part, ate 1 piece and was hooked!) I'm going back to sugar-free. I don't put any sugar in my fruit and forgot how sour / tart somethings really are.

Best of luck to you!

Omee
