 Good Morning Botts

I have come here today to share some wisdom.....if you have any piece of clothing that has a stretch to it, get rid of it.  It will give you a false sense that you are OK, you are not putting on any weight.

I was going through my clothes, getting ready for a trip and realized I wear almost daily (work from home) sweats and clothing that has a stretch to it.  As I was trying on my clothes I could get into them but they had a snuggness to them that I didn't notice with my sweats.

So, today I have a little black bag of over sized, stretchy clothes that are going, going, gone...LOL

We all know if we are wearing the clothes with no stretch, we will know it only a few pounds out.

Have an awesome day Bott's

Take care,
Kathy

O no... I won't.... lol. - that will be like - 90% of my clothes... including my dresses, my shirts, my pants....
I love my stretchy clothes.  They are nice and comfy...
But then i have a few pairs of my skinny jeans, and other - not so stretchy clothes. - so I know I have to put them on to make sure they fit.  I they do not - or fit too snag - it is time to reevaluate my food choices. BTW - I gain 5-7 lbs just before my TOM - so I need them for that TOM.
That's my story and I am sticking to it.

I also will not get rid of my stretchy clothes, I work from home so I put them on to work in, they are so nice and comfy, but then when I am done working I put on real clothes so that keeps me honest !

I do understand what you are saying, that is also why they say to get rid of the clothes that are to big, you don't want to have them there to allow you to wear them again, "just in case".  I did have to buy a size larger clothes the last few years till I came here and got BOTT again !  I am back in my smaller pants and some of them are to large.  Yay BOTT.  So now I have to clean out the closet and they will go to some happy person at Goodwill !  Just to keep me honest !  I promise this time I will not go back up a size, I am going to stay BOTT and step on the scale at least WEEKLY!

At some point in our lives we must forgo fashion for comfort!!  I do make sure I put on my fitted clothes and skinny jeans every week but right now I am sittin in my living room watching Ellen in my sweats and I am happy!!!!

But I do know what you mean Kathy. I try hard to make it a point of dressing correctly to go out and not just always throwing on the most comfy stretchy thing I own!

Good for you, Cahy  - you might say stretchy clothes allow us to stretch reality.

I just did a major clothes clean out - plan to take them to a consignment shop and get rich (well, at least take them to a consignment shop LOL)

I HAD to wear stretchy clothes for so many years, I don't like to wear them now.  I so enjoy celebrating my new size with clothes that actuall fit (when I was fat, fit was a big joke - as long as they were big enough to go around me, they fit - not at all what fit means now) and, having my black belt in shopping, clothes that fit are FUN.

TY...Kathy. I AM that statement. Pre-op 99.9% of my clothes were "stretchy".  Now 98% of my clothes are T shirts and jeans. Do have 4 sets of sweats but wear them strictly to work out. And they're cutesy sweats...NOT nondescript.
