Hey Everyone

Do you believe we have been doing this for a week now?  Time flies when you have good friends to share in the challenge    Knowing I have to come here everyday and be accountable really helps me think twice before messing up.

Speaking of messing up, I didn't track my food yesterday but ate well.  I was cleaning my pantry and found something that is a great tool for us for making fast, healthy meals.  I bet you have one and have not used it in a long time like me.  Do you know what it is?  Come on....think 80's    A wok    Do you remember using one of those.  Today we can get veggies already cut up, strips of lean chicken or tofu, tad of olive oil, fresh herbs and bingo, quick healthy meal.  Use brown rice for a great complex carb.  So dust that baby off and try it, you will love it

Exercise was 30 mins on the bag. Gosh that is a great stress reliever

Enjoy the day and see ya tomorrow

Take care,
Kathy

Wow!  A wok!  I haven't used my wok in at least 15 years.  I will be dusting it off and use this wonderful tool this week.  I have lost a small amount of weight this past week and am happy about this.  But even better is the fact that I am eating better, drinking more water and a whole lot less soda.  Happy BOTT-Day!

Haven't done too well today, but tomorrow is a new day.  I'm clamping my mouth shut for tonight!!  :)

I have been for a walk and skipping - lots of 1 or 2 minute sessions - I'm already better than I was yesterday!

good evening all!

Had good day.........church........then ate at Cheddars........and yes I was faithful.  I ordered the 8 oz. sirloin steak (was the smallest they offer), green beans, and a salad.  I did not finish all my dinner.....actually had food left over.  Since I have been faithful on my way back to healthy, I see I am not eating as much.  This just proves to me the pouch is still working!

Wish everyone a great and blessed evening!
Janet

The wok is a great idea!  Don't have one, but certainly can adjust with a good skillet and watching the oil...thanks for the idea!  :)

Went to dinner last night with some old friends we hadn't seen for a long time, and went to a restaurant we had never been to.  I planned in advance, and looked up the menu online, so when I got there, I already knew what I was going to have:  Soup and a wonderful chopped salad.  Of course, no way to fini**** all, but it felt good not to struggle with figuring out what I wanted.

Today has been a bit of a struggle with the carbs -- luckily the ones I ate are complex carbs, but they are still my weakness and tough to pull away from.  BUT, that said, it WILL BE DONE!  :)

Have a great evening, everyone!

Lazy day at home for me today.  I should have been taking some online courses for work, but I've really been procrastinating.

My food choices have been stellar so far.  I had a terrible low-blood sugar episode last night.  I ate a kashi bar, which raised my bs a bit, but it immediately started to crash again, so I ate a whole-grain bagel with a little cream cheese, waited 30 minutes to check my sugar again, then went to bed.  That put me about 450 calories over what I posted on here yesterday.  Other than that episode, my bs has been very stable.  It was really weird.

Anyway, here's my summary for today:

Summary

Water: 6 glasses consumed
Total Calories: 1317 Calories
Carbohydrate: 408 Calories 31% of total Calories
Fat: 433 Calories 33% of total Calories
Protein: 476 Calories 36% of total Calories

Hmmm...I used to have a wok, it's probably buried somewhere in my garage.
I had a good day today, stayed on plan.  I'm looking forward to getting in a good workout tomorrow morning.  I'm trying to do as much as possible before the grandbaby comes :).
