Hey Everyone,

I can't believe another week has gone by.  It seems like I was just posting about it being Monday, AGAIN!!!

Did you catch the biggest loser finality?  The Hollywood Doctor they use made a statement about two of the heavier people.  They showed the world it could be done without WLS and 1 in 10 die from WLS.  Again, they implied all you have to do is exercise and eat right.

Well I don't know about you guys but when I was at my heaviest 330 I could not walk.  If I took a few steps my left side would go numb.  Usually the only place one can move and be so big is in water.  Well then  you  have the issue of getting to the water and then being called a whale while in the water.

I am so happy and proud for what they have done, however we all don't have the resources to do what they did on the ranch.

I like this show but I call a foul on this one

Have a great weekend, stay warm and if it's snowing baby stay inside

Take care,
Kathy

They should have to make a retraction statement.  One in 10 die???  Hardly.  boob.
Personally I hate that show.  They exploit the fat people- make them appear in godforbid spandax with all their rolls showing.  I would rather be shot!  If they can get them to run and get it all shaking the camera focuses in.  give me a break.

Hi Kathy

I find biggest loser very inspiring, but...I don't like the implication that all you have to do is exercise and eat right.  First off, these people are exercising ALL day - for several hours (prob 5-6hrs do you think?), plus with professional trainers.  How many people in the real world can do this?   We have lives to live.

I am pleased for those who succeed this way, but I couldn't.  I also know I would not be able to sustain it long term once I was out of the biggest loser house - that much exercise is just not practical in my opinion.  I don't know how people spend that much time each day!

I'm sorry - but I'm not in to suffering!!!!!  At least not physical suffering if there's any way to avoid it.    I am in to maintaining and I sure don't have all day every day to make myself miserable exercising.  It's truly different strokes for different folks and I have no quarrel with those who find BLoser meaningful.  I don't and I don't appreciate them bad-mouthing what is meaningful for me.  I have no use for them!
