Back On Track Together
Dairy of a BOTTer - Thurs/Scale Hell
Hey Everyone ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/wavey.gif)
Well I finally took the plunge and got on the scale. I don't live and die by the scale as it causes brain damage
I know all of us at one time have been there, where you know you have put on a "few pounds" but reality hits you with a BIG STICK when you finally get on the scale.
I wonder, how many of you have done so and found out you actually put on more than you thought? I have put on 10 pounds more than I thought

The big issue here is to not let it put us in a downward spiral. We need to use this information as motivation not rejection and defeat![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/shameshame.gif)
If you have some pointers to share with me and others on how you dealt with Scale Hell, please come on in and let it all hang out![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/thumbsup2.gif)
Take care,
Kathy

I've found there are two kinds of scale-users out there - those who need to weigh every day and those who don't dare weigh every day. I am a "needer" - I am so good at fooling myself that I can gain A LOT if I play ostrich and stick my head in the sand. I know if I want to avoid the scales I'm in big trouble. Weighing every day helps keep me on track.
I don't see that one way is "right" and the other way is "wrong" - So long as we use the way that serves us best.
So kathy - just accept the fact you are a human being (wretched inconvenience sometimes LOL), forgive yourself, correct and learn from you mistakeget and celebrate your resolve to BOTT - call on that powerful force - BOTT POWER that's available to all of us.![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/bowtie.gif)
